On Sep-01-16 at 17:16:08 PDT, seller added the following information:Milage is at 340 and increasing.
On Sep-01-16 at 20:29:05 PDT, seller added the following information:During the rotisserie restoration a new floor including trunk was installed along with all new interior and convertible top. Bumpers were re-chromed, all chrome and trim is new or restored. All new wiring from front to back and a new starter along with a complete engine and head rebuild as stated earlier.
Close attention was paid, and no expense spared to bring this back GTO to the original look. Few first year GTOs have the correct paint, taillights, grills, bumpers, all engine and transmission castings correct, shifter, linkage, console, dash, grills, hood, trunk, tires, sheet metal, trim, hub caps, rims, knobs, window cranks, door handles etc correct. Most have non matching components or are automatics. Basicallyeverything I can think of is correct except the rear axle. A 1964 GTO rear axle comes with the car but it has internal damage. The axle in the car is the correct 3.23 posi, but from a 1965. The original pristine four barrel intake, and carb with a very hard to findcorrect air cleaner also comes with the car. I also have a California only 1964 GTO chrome air cleaner which has the provision for a California onlyvent tube. That air cleaner is showing some mild pitting.(see last three photos) The hood hinges, headlights and even the spark plug wires are correct. The chrome trim on the clutch pedal, brake pedal and accelerator are correct for a 1964 GTO with Power Brakesand the GTO has about 450 miles as we have been driving it without any issues. (last photo).
The paint inside, outside, underneath, in the engine room and trunk are all 100% correct. The tail lights are correctly painted and are not pitted. There is no pin stripe as none was offered in 1964. It is that correct.
A close inspection shows thegaps of every seam and reflections in the paint show this GTO is assembled as good as or better than when it left the factory.
This GTO sat in storage inside a climate controlleddry garage completelydissembled from themid 80suntil 2012 when the four year 100% complete frame off rotisserie restorations was started.I do not think there is anything incorrect, except the radiator which is a new four core instead of the normal three core, and a very heavy duty battery.
The appraisers indicate this is nearly a #1 “trailer queen” car. Send requests or inspectors to document any item.
Best regards.
