Pontiac Trans Am 1974 Description
1974 Pontiac Trans Am, Numbers Matching 455, inBuccaneer Red. Originally a California car, rust free and pampered since its complete restoration. No modifications under the hood, this car is as original as the dayit rolled off the assembly line. Thisbeautiful examplehas won best of show and best in class at multiple car shows.
There were only 4,648 Trans Am's produced in 1974 with the 455, and the most rare of colors was Buccaneer Red. This TA has the deluxe interior, black with power windows.
The body is rust free, straight, and has a show quality paint job using PPG Base Coat ClearCoat products. Theminimal bodyworkunder the beautiful paint was properly performed, every part of the car was disassembled, prepared for paint, and expertly applied. Even the parts that aren't visible without disassembly have had the same attention as the rest of the car. The inner door jams, trunk floor, etc. are just as beautiful as the hood.
The interior is like new, witha newheadliner, center console, and steering wheel, and the originalseats areinexcellent condition. The dash is perfect, has the correct seat belts which were recently rebuilt with new and correct materials, and is ready to be scrutinized by the most discerning Trans Am aficionado.
Mechanically, you will find a low miles since rebuild, numbers matching 455, original and firm shifting Turbo 400 automatic transmission,10 bolt Posi-Traction rear end,ice cold AC,excellent heater, front power disc brakes, power steering, and the"Tuned Suspension" option.
This car has seen less than 1,500 miles since its restoration, and does show minimal wear as the miles were very careful as to not detract from this beautiful car. At that, this car was built to be enjoyed and driven. It was not a $100,000 restoration, but neither is the reserve price. I do not want to undermine the quality of this car, however it has been driven gently. How could you not?
This generation of TA is going up in value and are becoming very hard to find, especially in this conditionand with these factory options.
