Pontiac Trans Am 1978 Description

1978 Pontiac Trans AM. W72 Motor it has the coveted XX block with the 6X 4 heads (higher compression). This was an original California car, sold to the original owner in AZ. It has been rebuilt. New cam (Comp cams XE262H-10) The cam was purchased as part of a kit, it has new springs, lifters, roller rockers, push rods, comp cams lock nuts, valves, hardened seat in the heads, Lunati crank by Butler performance. Forged pistons, ss valves, I have all receipts (including engine work) new bolts, bearings, rings, honed .60 over, polished heads, ported heads, decked heads. New Edelbrock Pontiac performer intake. Aluminum intake has been smoothed for flow. New water pump, new separator plate, New harmonic balancer. New fuel lines, 800 CFM quadrajet Carburetor rebuilt by Cliff Ruggles, Tuned on Cliff Ruggles race engine.New Fuel pumpEverything purchased to match.

It has new Ram Air Restorations SD exhaust from the original 1976 castings. New CVF racing ss pulleys and brackets. New CVF racing alternator, new Chrome PS pump. New PS box, new inner and outer tie rods, New Optima battery, new hood hinges and springs. New bushings and mounting bolts throughout. Body bushings, tie rod bushings, leaf spring bushings, shock bushings, new leaf springs, new sway bars, new shocks (front and rear) new front springs, new brakes (rotors, prop valves, pads, drums, all new brake lines front and rear) New master cylinder, new booster. New steering linkage. All belts new all hoses new. New Electric fans (16 inch Very high flow stays below 220)

New Eaton LS rear end, 2.73 gears, posi, new axles, new 10 bolt cover. New driveshaft, new Pypes 3in exhaust.

New 17 Inch Snowflake rims from Year One, New Potenza (Bridgestone tires) 245 45 17 Front / 275 40 17 Rear. Less than 50 miles.

New lights throughout. New LED sequentialtail light conversion from Restore a Musclecar, new HID headlights with all new relays, LED bulbs all around, New LED dash lights (white) new dash circuit boards, all gauges refurbished, dash refurbished, custom blue under hood lighting, New chrome trim all around, NO RUST...paint in good shape. Black accents are plastidip (mostly for protection) can be easily removed.

Engine bay has been detailed and painted in gunmetal grey. Entire underside of car was sanded and repainted. (NO RUST) trunk in great shape, NO RUST, new carpet. Good seats. New door panels, New door handles, power windows, clock, New decals, New GEN II roll bar and 5 star belts form G_Force. New alpine stereo, New console, new glovebox (center) Bandit Run survivor car.

Rebuilt TH350 transmission (will chirp 2nd) New shift kit on rebuild, drain plug in pan, B&M shifter. New speedo gear.

AC removed (still working and have all parts) just wanted the symmetry of the motor. Heater lines delete (symmetry) Custom fan using existing ac squirrel cage fan.

Custom Hydro dipped valve covers, welded motor mounts, custom Functional shaker. Looking for next project, bring a reasonable offer and I would love to talk.
