Pontiac Catalina 1964 Description
This is a great 1964 Pontiac Catalina convertible project car. It is a 389 2 bbl carb engine with a factory 4 speed transmission. The car originally was a bench seat car, but I do not have that seat. There are a pair of bucket seats and a console that go with the car. The console was from an automatic car. The rust issues on the car include lower rear corners of front fenders. Lower rear quarter panels in front of rear wheels. The front floors can be repaired without replacing. Driver side has very little rust, passenger at front kick up panel in foot well and a bit under seat. See the pictures. The area under the rear seat needs repairs, also see pictures. The truck has some small holes, but also both side body mount areas are bad. I have an extra trunk floor from another car, but it will not fix all area needing attention. There are just a couple of small pinholes at very front edge of hood. See pictures. The trunk lid was off a 2+2 and there are door panels off that same car. Included is also a rare dash mounted tachometer from a 2+2. Glass is good, front and rear bumpers are straight with front not bad. Rear at least should be re-chromed. The rear seat inner quarter sheet metal is rusty and may need to be replaced. Repairs might be possible. Top mechanism and trim is good. Header fine. Car has cylinders and motor but not tested. Have trunk mounted removable light. Engine was turned over, but not started. It has a 2 barrel carburetor. Car has a spare and 4 wheel covers. Have most if not all side trim although some needs to be straightened. Some extras. The factory 4 speed convertible with manageable sheet metal repairs makes this a good project.
I do not have a title for this car. It was purchased as a car for parts for my 2 + 2, but I have also sold that car.
