Pontiac GTO 1969 Description
One of 2400 69 GTO convertible 4 speed cars built ...BARN FIND...Listing this car for a friend......Up for sale is his PHS documented 1969 Pontiac GTO convertible 4 speed...With no reserve bid to win. This car sold new out of AL MIKULICH PONTIAC in East Lansing Michigan .....Car was ordered Matador red with a ivory white top and black interior with WT coded 400 factory 350 horse coupled to a Muncie m20 4 speed and a 3:55 posi rearend and a set of factory ordered disk brake set up in front to stop it with according to the PHS paper work. My friend bought this car off of a gentleman that had it since 1978 sitting in bottom of a dirt floor barn....Car is rusty!!! As you can see in pictures cars floors are shot....Frame is rusty...doors have rust fenders have rust quarters are rusty car has rust! The endura nose is really clean is not all cracked up and no chunks are missing its not all bent up like most are...All the convertible trim is in nice shape not bent or has dents/dings...The convertible top frame/ mechisim is all there and don't appear to be bent and moves freely up and down...The top material is shot so my friend just kept it down while it was in storage All the glass in car is nice with no chips or major scratches ...Besides the weinshelid it is cracked. Car would be a great doner car. The front end is on it but hood hinges are off... front of hood shuts and locks with core support. Car has all 4 matching Pontiac rally wheels with good rollers all tires hold air car steers and rolls easy. The car does have a 12 bolt posi rearend ....Previous owner said it was out of a Chevelle SS ...Car has an old aftermarket Hurst shifter in it...Car has sat in bottom of barn since 1978 so the motor is locked and would need to be taken apart car has chrome valve covers and a 4 barrel has an aluminum 4 speed was told by previous owner it is a Muncie ...Car has a hood with a dixico hood tach this GTO never had a tach from what paperwork says.....gas tank is missing along with radiator and air cleaner...Car does have inner fender wells and a tub full of misc parts that were with car when my friend bought it...Drive shaft is out but included along with 2 plastic radiator fan shrouds My friend lost his storage space and he don't have room for it anymore ...Title is clean and clear Ohio title email with any questions I will do my best to answer but I am not a Pontiac expert but will do my best to answer any questions you have...I reserve the right to pull the car listing any time as the car is for sale locally car must be paid in full within 3 days after auction will help load if you would like to come look at car in person email me and we can set something up happy biddingOn Dec-27-16 at 13:52:08 PST, seller added the following information:I want to represent this car as accurate as possible i have had quite alot of interest on this car I talked to my friend today to get some more info on car....As far as motor goes previous owner told my friend when he bought it that the motor in car is a period correct motor and that it is stuck from sitting all he knows it is a v8 Pontiac with a 4 barrel and factory chrome valve covers ....As far as rust from that I can see the car has rust in floors quarters trunk fenders doors.....I didn't look at frame but my friend told me frame is rusty!! He was going to buy a solid car from out west and transfer everything....Maybe you can fix it I don't know but please bid as if you are buying car for parts thanks have a good day
