Pontiac GTO 1965 Description
Here is a chance to own a legend for a very reasonable price. This car runs very strong with its original engine (assembly date: March 13, 1965 and body assembly date: 4th week of March), transmission and differential (open, 3.23 gears). I have the PHS documentation to verify it is a real GTO. I also have the protect-o-plate and a thick folder of receipts. It was a California car with its black license plates (comes with car). This car has new brakes, rebuilt carburetor and reconditioned radiator. It has power steering, power brakes and all the gauges work, so this is a very enjoyable car to drive. It is not loud, does not have a rough idle, because it was rebuilt to stock specs. (receipts included from 1985). It does, however, have a bigger carburetor than stock, because it was built in California with a smaller carb. The original air cleaner comes with the car (valuable). This car is solid accept for the roof skin. I have an extra roof that comes with the car. I cut it off a parts car in one big piece so you can replace the skin in one big piece or replace patches of the roof. After I cut the roof off of the parts car, I had it media blasted, then I covered it in self-etching primer. It has been kept in my garage, out of the weather. I also bought a filler panel that goes between the trunk lid and the rear window. The frame is solid and the floors are solid (see pics). This car needs carpet and door panels. The dash pad is good. The body is really cool! I would think hard before I had it painted. There are small spots of surface rust on it. There is no rust behind any of the wheel wells. All the trim for around the windows comes with the car. This is a great car! People love it. Children look at it. You will have a lot of fun in it, even as it is now! And you will get your money back if you ever decide to sell. Paul Watters 405-808-4567. Also, If you buy this car, you will have the option of buying the "safety-trac" differential that I pulled off of the parts car for $1,000 more.
