Pontiac Trans Am 1979 Description

Up for your consideration is one 1979 trans am. This is a mostly complete project car that will need a fair amount of work to get back on the road, as been sitting for a few years with only brief periods of starting it up and moving it around. It does move under its own power, but the more it sits, the harder that becomes. The motor and trans and everything else will need to be gone through just because it has been sitting a while. Very good starting point though. This is a great chance to own a piece of american muscle car history at a reasonable price. For those that remember a better time when gas and tires were cheap, ummer nights were spent at the drive ins or on the streets, our girl at your side, r your buddies calling shotgun, here ya go,

The good: Comes witha ton of parts, ome used, some new, some extra, ome better than others. T- tops, /c( assume that there are missing parts with the a/c system as usually there is with any of these old cars), ower locks, power windows, power trunk lock, four wheel disc brakes, ual exhaust, loors including trunk are mostly solid with only minor patching required, ail panel is solid, ights work, ost of the interior and trim pieces are there, ll glass except for the windshield is good( small crack on the drivers lower corner of the windshield), ll seats intact but will need front covers, , automatic, lean title in hand, ill aslo come with three service/repair manuals (Chilton,Haynes, nd the third is a factory supplement type service manual) Body is in overall good condition, ill need work in some areas though, estorable regardless.

The not so good: Been sitting a while, eals, oses, askets etc. start to break down over time. Brakes need attention, brake light is currently on, t some point in time one of the previous owners did a pretty thorough rustoleum paint job( there is paint on some areas where it doesn't need to be), haker hood has fixed scoop, haker base and components long gone, needs a package tray, heels are camaro( looks good on this car, personal preference i guess. they were on the car when i aquired it),tires were free on the side of the road, old air for a bit then go flat, hey worked for me just moving it around the yard, missing the radio, will needsome body work, ome minor damage to the lower radiator support panels( looks like it may have gone over a curb or something), robably been raced at some point in its life, fenders hood nose are secured on the car but not completly, put them all on to save some space, ave the front lower plastic piece currently off the car, total project car, an't stress that enough, ant the buyer to be informed and certain on every aspect prior to buying.Ask questions as i'm sure to have forgotten something, r if you need pictures of a specific area, let me know and i'll try to get them for you.
