Pontiac Firebird 1979 Description

Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful example of a 1979 Formula Firebird in a very desirable color combination of two tone silver with carmine red interior. Only 25000 Formulas were made in 1979 making it the lowest production trim style that year.
The exterior of the car is COMPLETELY rust free. Truly! It spent most of its life in Virginia before I bought it. I believe I'm the 4th owner. I have the last two copies of the titles from the previous owners. No rust or rot anywhere underneath as well. Super clean! The car was painted a year or so ago with a very professional high quality paint job and was done the right way. It was taken apart, stripped and resprayed and received new graphics as well. Not a scratch, ding or dent anywhere. Absolutely beautiful.
The interior is in very good condition as you can see from the pictures. Seats and carpet are in very good condition and original. So are all the door panels and plastic trim pieces. A few trim pieces I repainted in the original carmine red and match perfectly and look new again. Everything works on the car. All gauges, lights, horn, radio with CD and iPod jack, cig lighter and even the clock works and keeps perfect time! Heater and defrost including rear defrost works fine. Blower works on all speeds. Dash is perfect as well as the original steering wheel. Package tray in very good condition as well. T-Tops lock with no issues and don't leak. I have the T-Top bags as well.
The 403 V8 runs cool and very strong with no issues at all. It's the original motor. This car moves! There is a mild cam with and Edelbrock carb and intake. No hesitations at all when you punch it! Transmission shifts nice and smooth with no issues. Suspension is nice and tight with no issues and tracks straight with no pulling when braking.
I've put a lot of money into this car getting it up to snuf so its dependable and so the next owner doesn't have to do anything to it.

I'm only selling because I found something else that I want to fit the whole family in more comfortably. But, if I can't get what I want, I'm happy holding on to it. These cars as you probably know are going up in value every year and are getting out of reach in some cases. This one is everything a Trans Am has except no fender air scoops or wheel flares and no screaming chicken decal. Other than that, it has everything the Trans Am came with.
