Pontiac Firebird 1973 Description
This car is being sold as a running and driving project. PROJECT, ROJECT, ROJECT
I have a 1973 Firebird Espirit for sale. I found this car a couple of months ago and it was going to be this winters project. Life happens and I kinda have a lot going on and limited space, o Im going to list it for sale.
Ill try and give as accurate description as I can. I try to be as honest and strait forward as possible but I do forget some stuff so bare with me.
The previous owner owned this car since 1988.He bought it basically set up as it is. He doesn't have a lot of knowledge on these so all he could tell me was what the previous owner told him.
Engine: Non original 1974 455 with 1967 670 heads (high compression). Previous owner was told it has Ram Air 3 cam and associated parts.
It does run and doesn't run hot. Does seem as if it needs valve seals or rings or both. Has a ton of power, as to run on race fuel. It has a lot of crank case pressure and blows some smoke on heavy throttle.
Trans: TH350shifts fine may have a mild shift kit. Leaks from gear shift selector seal. Has new pan and filter.
Rear End: It has a 4.10 posi, ot sure if its original
Interior: Needs front seat covers and carpet. Rear seats, ash, oor panels, nd console are in good usable condition. Would need gone thru but for the most part all there. seat belts are all present and working. Column needs rebuilt as the tilt is wobbly.
Exterior: Its a solid car. Was repainted the original white in the 80's and is still presentable (driver quality). Looks to be all original panels except hood (Formula) and Trans Am spoilers. Its a solid complete car, uarter panels, ear pan, oors, ocker panels, loors, rame rails, and sub frame are all original and solid. Has previous bodywork on lower drivers fender (pictured) and one small hole in the trunk (pictured).
The Firebird is an original white with black interior car...
All the lights and turn signals work, /p>
needs a wiper motor.
Horn not working
Gas gauge not working
Blower motor works but heater core is bypassed
I try to be as honest as I can with these cars.
When I bought it, t hadn't been runin about 20 years, o I went thru it.
I drained the gas tank, nd put fresh fuel in it (93 octane with lead additive and octane booster)
Fresh oil and filter
Intake manifold gasket and thermostat
Valley pan gasket
New Hooker Ceramic coated headers and Summit RacingF body exhaustkit
Trans pan, ilter, asket, ines and fluid.
New motor mounts.
Rear brake lines
As of now it will run and drive. But I am selling it as a project.
Its a perfect candidate for a Trans Am tribute or a Pro touring F Body.
It is getting harder and harder to find early second gens with solid bodies so hears your chance to own one.
Title is free and clear and in my name.
Mileage on title is 88,255. (Does not have a mileage brand.)
Odometer reads 16,750 or so.
If you have any questions please ask.
I try to be as honest as I can when selling these old cars but you can never get everything right so Please ask is there is something I missed.
Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, will help as much as I can but is the buyers responsibility to set it up.
I've sold a few cars on here and I try to be as honest as I can so please serious buyers only
