Pontiac Fiero 1987 Description
YES, ou read right 112 miles (maybe a few more before listing ends). Car runs and drives like new (no surprise there. Car was delivered to Minnesota late in 1987 and damaged in transport. It sat at the back of dealership as the newer 1988 models rolled into the dealership. A few months later GM announced the end of the Fiero line. It is a minimally equipped Sport Coupe. It has A/C and radio are about the only options. The dealer and GM donated the carto a technical school that never had an automotive shop, o it stayed in storage until the technical school liquidated assets.
A good friend of mine bought the car and kept it in storage until last yearbecause he had a change of health. It had 79 miles on it when I bought it from him. The original tires have weather cracked and I replaced them. The tires still have the wax pencil markings from the factory. As the vehicle never went through Pre-Delivery Inspection, ost of the plastic is still on floor. I have old Fiero mats in car to protect the plastic. The battery has been replaced and the front calipers have been replaced (still have original for rebuilding).
Like him, 'vehad a change in my life and look forward to passing it on to someone that can truly enjoy it. Only rust on the vehicle is surface from moisture exposure. The car could be purchased to drive and enjoy or to show as original.
On Oct-29-15 at 05:40:33 PDT, eller added the following information:I was reminded that I also had to replace the fuel tank, ending unit and pump. The fuel had turned and ruined the tank and sending unit. The fuel tank and sending unit came from an 87 Fiero and the fuel pump is new.
