Pontiac GTO 1968 Description

PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRIES

This car is a rare find, complete numbers matching, riginal owner, riginal parts '68 Goat. This car was purchased in June 1968 from Jarman Pontiac located in Baltimore Maryland. It was our family sedan until approximately 1988, t which time it was put into storage until 1992. Since the car was a driver, t had experienced it's fair share of wear and tear. In 1992 a complete frame off restoration was undertaken, ompleted about 2002, nd driven maybe 500 miles since completed.

The focus of the restoration was on keeping everything as original as possible, own to the bolts/washers. As was typical with all cars of this era, nd being a driver, t had it's fair share of body rot. A complete floor pan, runk pan, eft/right rear quarters, nd front fenders were installed; all rust was eliminated, ot just patched and puttied. Most of the restoration was done by me personally, ll of the finish body work was done by CSS Auto Restoration located in Dillsburg PA. All parts that were taken off during the restoration have been retained, he original front fenders (which are serviceable), nd the front brake rotors and calipers. Basically everything in this car has been serviced to new condition, oo many things to mention in this listing.

The car currently has an aftermarket Holly 4175 carburetor, he original has been rebuild and is ready to go. The ignition points have been replace with (Pertronix) electronic points to improve drivability. The front brakes have been converted over to Bear 4-piston calipers, he original calipers/rotors have been boxed; again this change was to improve safety and drivability.

Once the restoration was completed, found that I did not have the time to enjoy and use the car. It has been driven very little, nd has been put into proper storage. It's time for her to find a new home. This car starts on the first or second try and runs strong. I have lots of pictures of the restoration process, nd of course many additional items.
