Pontiac Trans Am 1981 Description

The last year of this body style!!!

A head-turning white 1981 T-Top Trans Am with red bird and red velour interior (Hey, velour was actually an upgrade in 1981!). It has just over 91,000 original miles. This car is all original and has never been restored (and has had no reason to need restoration). The only modern touch is the Kenwood stereo (USB, Satellite and Bluetooth) and upgraded speakers in the front and rear.

This car is loaded. I have included an image of the window sticker from the Pontiac Historical Society. It has everything including the WS6 package, the special performance package that includes turbo aluminum wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, limited slip differential and the special handling package.

This car spent the first 25 years as a garage kept California car and has since been a garage-kept Georgia car. It does not know what bad weather is since it has rarely seen it.

Even though the car was repainted in the early 90s and looks fabulous from 10 feet away it does have its share of nicks, dings and scratches (Pictures included in the video. Click on or copy and paste the link at the bottom). There is virtually no rust in all the common places (pictures included in the video). The previous owner provided a replacement decal kit should you want to have the car painted. I never opened the package, but I will include it with the car.

The sleeves for the T-Tops and the GoodYear Eagle GT-II Tires are all in great shape. I have the service records provided by the previous owner and I have my service records as well. I will include a high-quality car custom cover (cost $300) and a battery minder with the purchase.

The only things that don’t work are the air conditioning (it makes a squealing noise, but DOES make cold-ish air; probably an easy fix that I never got around to since I never use the AC) and the cruise control.

I rarely drive this car without getting stopped to talk about it or without getting countless thumbs ups! It's a fabulous car that rides great.
