Pontiac Tempest 1966 Description
This is your chance to buy an all original and beautiful, blue on blue, 1966 Pontiac Tempest Custom. I am the second owner of this fine vehicle (I bought it in 1981) and I have treated it very well. It has been stored winters and driven every summer. It has not been restored, or redone, it is a survivor. Was painted about 1985 and still shines like new. 326 V8 2 barrel runs strong and 2 speed transmission is smooth. Has power steering and Factory A/C! Body is very straight and metal is solid throughout. All parts are there (newer radio is installed, but I have the original). Tires are brand new (less than 100 miles), so is battery, plugs and wires. Drives down the road nice! This Pontiac is truly a gem and is ready to drive. Minimal work will make it a show car. Or, you can convert it to a GTO. I want to be as open about the condition of this car as possible, so ask me any questions you like. Additional photos, or video may be available upon request. Make an appointment to see it if you are in the W. Michigan area.
It isn't perfect - there is a crack in the dash and a quarter size hole in the headliner, carpet is wearing through in one small spot on driver floor. I recently bypassed the heater core, so A/C and heater don't currently work. Heater fan is hooked up wrong (you can turn it on with no key). Has a minor tranny leak. Doors have after market speakers cut in.
