Studebaker Convertible 1963 Description
This is a 1963 Studebaker Lark. two-door. black. convertible. It was re-built about 16 years ago. the original odometer shows 30. 00 miles on it. however. it was rarely driven since it was rebuilt. the odometer was never reset. It sat in clean. supervised storage. albeit the seasonal warm-ups and small drives. Only about 1000 of these Daytona Convertibles came off the assembly line in 1963. regarding the automatic transmission. the gear shifter is floor-mounted! It has a 4-barrel Holley carburetor. The chrome is in excellent condition! All works: headlights. blower fan. wiper. brake lights. directional lights (turning lights). license plate lights. ! NO power steering. driving this car requires some muscles. There are a few present minor issues that can be addressed:- no air cleaner (sorry. I don't have an extra one)- the driver's side hydraulic piston (for the roof mechanism) had a tiny pin hole in it. this was fixed with a rubber sleeve and mechanical clamps over the pin hole. No leaks. works great! -would benefit from a standard carburetor overhaul (sometimes during cold weather it stalls when initially starting after sitting over-night)- no antennae for the radio. so no radio channels. although the radio apparatus works- minor paint/cosmetic issues near the rear driver's side fender- the floor-mounted gear lever is slightly out-of-adjustment. The Park (P) and Reverse (R) are right by each other. The slight misalignment causes the reverse lights to come on. when in park. To prevent the car from jumping into reverse. the gear level must be pushed firmly into the P position. I am working on fixing this issue. - missing kick-panels trims inside near the foot-well of the driver's side and passenger's side- small star-shaped chip in the upper region of the windshieldMechanically. it runs great and works great. Great car to drive during the warm Summer seasons!DOES NOT COME WITH BATTERY!All clean and new paperwork! No delivery! If you buy it. *YOU* will need to have a plan to take it away.
