Studebaker President 1941 Description
So here we have one Rare Sedan. 1941 Studebaker President Skyway Land Cruiser 4 door sedan. One of the rarest of 1941 Models and the top of the line in 1941. Only 8000 Presidents were built in all body styles in 1941. This style is the rarest? So heres the Plus side of this baby. The chassis and exterior body Panels are solid and as much as I hate to see this rodded or customized its most likely a great candidate to deck and french as all the hood and front trim are missing. Its Grill and headlight rings are there as are the Bumpers. NO HUBCAPS OR TRIM RINGS REMAIN, even though they are shown in some pics. The dash is complete except the radio is not going with car. If your a diehard restorer and want to make this car original i will consider letting the radio go with the car. The lower fender and body moldings are there as well and go with the car. All the interior trim is present as well which is rare and hard to find. The closed coupled body is unique to 41 and 42 and are one of the prettiest pre war styles in my opinion. Now for the down side. RUST. There are large areas that need patching under the door sills and in the rear areas of the trunk.. No door rust outs or fender well rust out. I know a few guys in Oregon who fix this kind of thing for a living and it wont throw you under the bus $$ wise. Well to much. The plus side is the body is straight and dent free as well as the hood etc. Missing are the panels between the hood and the fenders.
Anyway I have to many projects and this one will have to go to someone else. Please email or call with serious questions. The car is located in the Eugene Oregon area and rolls. Call Eric at 310-989-1877
