Studebaker Champion 1953 Description
3 years of labor went in to crafting this beautiful 1953 Studebaker Champion. It is literally a Corvette wrapped in Studebaker sheet metal. A pleasure to drive and a pleasure to look at!
This car was featured in both Custom Rodder and Popular Hot Rodding in 2002.
The car has a 2006 LS2 engine hooked up to a Tremec T56, -speed transmission. Also includes custom exhaust with H-pipe and dual Flowmaster mufflers. It sounds as good as it looks!
The T56 feeds a Ford 9” running 4:11 gears. (Amazing) stopping power is provided by Baer 4 wheel discs bolted onto American Racing 18x8’s and 20x10’s.
It features a TCI front end and Art Morrison triangulated rear clip with a fully welded 8 point cage tying everything together.
The paint scheme is done in original Studebaker colors: Chippewa and Lombard Green with a matching custom interior accessed via remote-operated Bear Claw latches.
You won’t find a better equipped, ore eye-grabbing ride than this at anywhere near the price.
