Studebaker Sedan 1925 Description
If you're like a lot of guys and are tired of looking at the same cars at every show you go to, erhaps you should try something a little different. And by "a little different," I mean a Studebaker like this 1925 Studebaker sedan. It's got all the familiar upgrades, o it's a pleasure to drive, ut nobody else will have anything like it and if you're tired of cookie-cutter fiberglass rods, his is an awesome alternative. This big Stude is imposing from any angle, ombining the upright formality of a '20s sedan with the muscular look of a modern rod. It was built quite a while ago but recently freshened, o it has the right look and plenty of upgrades to make it a joy to drive. The black paint is appropriate on a big sedan like this, lthough you'll also find custom touches like the red and gold highlights and even very, ery subtle ghost flames on the front end. They were careful to keep all the many details that make these cars unique, rom the big grille shell and drum-style headlights to the cowl lamps to the rear-mounted trunk, ll of which look pretty good with the other mods such as the semi-flush taillights and big driving lights up front. Yes, t's got a few signs of use, ut we can guarantee that nothing else you can buy (especially at this price) will attract anywhere near as much attention. And it's still practical, oo!The interior is totally custom, ith alligator and ostrich hides on the bench seats and door panels. On the other hand, he wooden window garnish moldings are pure 1920s, s is the massive wooden steering wheel that still sits on the original steering column. Upgrades are many, ncluding A/C, n AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo radio in an overhead console, nd a pair of Auto Meter gauges in the center of the dash. The rear seat offers massive stretch-out room and still uses original window cranks and door hardware for a vintage look, nd you'll note that even the windows have been pinstriped. None of this work could have been cheap and everything remains in good condition overall, eaning you can get in and head out on the road without any worries. The engine is a recent 350 cubic inch crate motor installed about eight years and 10,000 miles ago. It's considerably more powerful than the Stude's original inline-six and pushes the big box through the air with ease. It's pure function under the hood, ith the accessories tucked in tight to the block, eaders wrapped in protective heat wrap, nd a 4-barrel carburetor up top. There's a big radiator up front and with all that frontal area, eeping things cool is effortless. The front suspension was borrowed from an '80s Malibu, nd includes power steering and front disc brakes and there's a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission that makes this a great highway flyer. Out back, he rear end from a Blazer sits on gigantic leaf springs and there's even a heavy-duty hitch if you need some extra carrying capacity; the Stude's heavy-duty frame won't mind. The dual exhaust has a nice burble and the red steel wheels with trim rings and hubcaps look just right, ven wrapped in fat BFG rubber. After spending a majority of its life on a cattle farm, his Studebaker got a new lease on life and is ready to make you the star of any show. It's also a lot of fun to drive and makes a very practical rod. Call today!
