Studebaker 1937 Description
The current owner has owned this car for over 23 years and took nearly20 years to completely and fully restore the car. The ground up restoration of the car took over 738 hours of labor plus materials. The current owner estimates that with labor, arts, aterials and the initial investment that the vehicle has a cost value in the range of $110,000. The current owner purchased the car 23 years ago from the original owner, he car at that time had 5500 miles on it and had been stored for many years in a secure weatherized garage.
The new engine the current owner installed has only 165 miles on it as per the odometer in the pictures. The car is currently stored in a high security weatherized alarmed garage. Thecaris insured by Hagerty Insurance Agency which is the leading insurance agency for collector vehicles in the world and host to the largest network of collector car owners and recognized as the largest agency for collector cars in the United States. The car is currently insured for over $100,000. There are currently only about 30 of these cars still registered.

BODY: All steel 1937 Studebaker3 window coupe. 100% rust free car. All sheet metal and exterior trim are original. Exterior modifications are minimal. They consist of a smooth gas door, agan modified headlight rings with head lights with turn signals in the head lights, nd smoothed running boards. All new slightly tinted glass in the car. All new rubber around the windows. All chrome was rechromed and all stainless steel polished. Body was stripped completely and painted first with an epoxy primer and the with a Sherwin Williams custom mixed Blue with Flames paint.
FRAME: Stock frame with a Heidts Mustang 2 front end. Rear suspension is stock with lowering blocks. The front brakes were replaced with power disc brakes and stainless steel brake and fuel lines. The car has new 18 inch rear and 17 inch front, heels and tires. The frame, ront and rear end were painted with high density Black Dupont Imron paint and powder coated black during the rebuild process.
INTERIOR: The interior seats, oor panels, nd trunk area were covered in blue velour with custom stitched flames on the door panels. All of the floor areas in the car and trunk were covered incarpeting. Auto meter gauges were installed in the factory locations on the dash. A vintage custom airsystem provides air conditioning, eat and defrostto the interior. A Lokar shifter was installed as well as an Ididit Chrome steering column with Aluminum Flames and Wood accents..
ENGINE: A stock V-8 350 crate engine was used on the restoration which now has only 165 miles on it. The car has a custom built Billet Polished Aluminum Radiator with an electric fan. The car has a polyurethane gas tank and dual Aluminum Magnesium Exhaust.The engine block was painted to match the body color. In the restoration an Edelbeock carburetor and intake manifold were used as well as billet aluminum valve covers. The transmission is an automatic stock turbo350.The car has an upgraded cam.
