Willys 1951 Description
Fuzzy Dice AutosHas up for auction a really rare and extremely desirable 1951 Willys Jeepster Convertible. This is an unmolested documented Jeepster that was first sold on July 5th. 1950 to the original owner in Madison. Colorado. We have the original insurance documents and other repair receipts dated back to 1951. They of course go with the vehicle. She was later sold and spent many years in Alabama and Kentucky. It's no wonder that the car remains solid and rust free. The paint finish appears to be original to the car but that I can't prove. And I do believe the mileage to be true but again I cannot verify that. These cars were not normally used as daily drivers so odometer readings were generally low. The body is solid as a rock. So is the under carriage. The chrome is fair and also appears to be totally original. The tires are new and so is the convertible top. That was just installed last week. The seats were also just recovered. The door panels and trim are original as are all the gauges. All the lights work and so do the gauges. The turn signals and horn are not currently functioning. The original motor is amazing. The 4 cyl. engine runs strong but quiet. No valve or blow back issues. The three speed transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears. Still has a six volt system and starts right up every time. The Jeepster is a pleasure to drive. She goes straight and stops on a dime. This rare time capsule car needs to be seen and better yet driven to be really appreciated. I personally love the way the car presents itself but for little expense can be re-painted and made to look new. We are always available for questions and/or additional photos. So please don't hesitate to contact us. We love talking about our classic treasures. Unlike many other classic car dealers who photograph their cars in professionally lighted studios or on Hollywood driveways. we at Fuzzy Dice shoot our pictures on our lot using nothing more then a point and shoot camera. So what you see is what you get. Most times better in person. We will never mislead our clients. Our reputation means everything to us. Thanks for your interest and best of luck bidding!
