Willys 1950 Description

Selling a 1950 Willys Wagon.
This Willys was owned by one Colorado Mtn. family since 1963 and used to plow their driveway and drag logs with the winch. Stored in their garage since 1963 it is in good and complete condition. I bought it to get going and have since decided it's a little more work than I'm up for this winter. Will make someone a great project.
Condition as follows:
Body: Very good overall, but does have some scrapes and wear. And notably the rear corners near the bumper area have dents on each side. Original color was Mahogany Brown, as seen on the interior photos. Roof has some peeling on the top. There is a rust area on the passenger side right behind the door, you can see it in close up one the 7th gallery picture. The floors have some surface rust and there are some pinholes on the drivers side. Very hard to see, I do have some other photos available on request.
Engine: Starts and runs, sounds good. Has a little smoke puff on startup then clear. Email for a running video. This is a straight 6 motor that appears to be out of a Ford. Has been converted to 12v electrics vs. the old 6v. Radiator is not leaking.
Chassis/Drivetrain: Has PTO winch installed, it works well. The clutch and driveshaft works, but the rear diff and front diff are not working. Was used as a plow truck so the assumption is the gears failed due to plowing. Included in the sale is a set of Willys original axles, front dana 25 and rear dana 44, geared 4.88. These could be swapped in complete or gutted for the parts and installed in the axles already on the truck. Brakes, complete, but not working. Right front locking hub needs replacement. I thought about selling the plow separately but have decided to leave the whole system on, it does work.
Interior/other: Original bumper for the front is included. Has original wood rails intact and in good shape in back. You can see that at some time there was some black glue applied by previous owner to glue down some flooring. No evident rust in the back cargo area. All side panels are there with the exception of the driver rear corner. Original headliner is there, see pics. Passenger side middle glass pieces each have a crack. Rear gate and hatch work. Instruments are all complete but I have not tested the speedometer, and the fuel and water temp not hooked up. There are two vintage Stewart Warner gauges under the dash, oil pressure shows good pressure, Water temp not showing. Lights work, heater blows, turn signals not working, no tail lights. The seats have been recovered over the original material.
Pickup in Denver, Colorado, or possibly Boulder as I might need to move it out of my friends garage. With the winch it can easily pull itself onto a trailer. No reserve auction. Please ask for pictures if needed and local inspection is offered and encouraged if possible. You can email via ebay or call me directly at 720-900-6395 with questions. Thanks, Matt
