Buick Roadmaster 1954 Description
Up for sale here is a barn find 1954 Buick Super Convertible. This car is a true survivor car. Ipurchased the car from anolder gentleman who hadowned it and had it stored in his barn for approximately the past 10 years. The car is a well maintained original car that has hadnecessary work done to it over the years but is stilla nice original car.The original colorwasWillow Green but as you can see it has had a color change done to it at some point in it's life. This color change may have been the only paint job the car ever had I can still see the original green under the weather stripping in the trunk. They did a very good and proper color change though with the firewall being painted ect. There are no bubblesin the paint oranything like that the car is nice and straight and appears to be rust free. The drives side floor has been patched with sheet metal and I see a couple smaller repairs on the rear floor but the rest appears to be all original. The trunk is very solid including the spare tire well. The underside is in excellent condition very dry and solid. This is a southern USA car and not a rust bucket or a patched up car.The glass is all in excellent condition and all labelled with the E-Z Eye factory tint logo so it appears to be all original glass. The chrome and trim on the car is in excellent condition I'm not sure if the bumper have been re-chromed but they are very nice ! There is little to no pitting in the grill or other pot metal parts of the car. The top has been replaced some time ago I would say but still looks like new and is the correct black color top. The top cylinders were replaced and the power top works good. The interior is original and in excellent condition for original. There are no tears cuts burns ect. It's a two tone green interior. I put new carpet in it the seats and door panels are very good still original ! The car has a power antenna as well. The original radio turns on and noise comes out but I have not been able to get a station it is AM after all !It has a new rad in it. The motor is the original 322 CID Nailhead with the 2 spd automatic. transmission. It starts and runs good and under the hood is detailed and looks very nice. The transmission shifts fine. Overall I would describe the car as a really good original car. It has been painted atleast once with the color change and a new top put on it otherwise it's very original. It has not been hot rodded or messed with over the years has the original air cleaner ect.As I am sure you know finding a 60 year old mid '50's convertible that's not been a rust bucket that someone has pieces together can be hard. To see more pictures please visit my site - FadedFins.com. This is an originalUS sold car that was built in the US. It can easily be taken back to the US. I can help with this if needed but please ask first. This car really is as nice as it looks and will not disappoint. The car was just appraised last week at $ 42000. I uploaded the appraisal to my website fadedfins.com so you will have a 3rd party inspection already done !
