Buick Skylark 1962 Description
This is a 1962 Buick Skylark convertible this car had the last of the bullet front fenders on the general motors line and was the high end model of the small A body cars. These car were the pocket rocket in 1962 .GM put the 215 four barrel V-8 motor in these cars and they really were a fast little car . This car has the factory light blue paint still on it but it has wear and surface rust showing through the paint and it looks like it may have been spot painted along the way. It has some exterior rust and bubbling in the typical spots more on the drivers side than the passenger side no rust throughon the floors or in the truck area otherwise a solid car see photos . It has a dark blue original interior that is worn and needs restoration .This little car has some nice unusual option, power steerin, Electric dash mounted cloc, remote side drivers mirro, passenger mirro, and very rare factory air conditioning which needs service,& power convertible top . So here is the mechanical condition of the car as i know it. I bought this car over 10 years ago and drove it around for a while and parked it. So it has been sitting in the garage for 9 years i drove it out of the garage and now it won`t start i was told the gas is bad and needs to be cleaned out and the carburetor needs to be rebuilt. The oil is clean as is the coolan, the brakes seen to work ok but should be serviced for safet, The tires i believe are original or at least from the 60`s era they hold air but are cracked and need to be replaced . The odometer shows 40,610 miles may be original but not sure the door panels are straight but armrest needs covering . The top is aged but is in one piece and the back window needs replacing . The power top does not operate nor does the radio . The original top boot is in the truck with the jack and a spare tire . The car has a clear California title in my name and is currently registered and insured. This is a decent original unmolested 55 year old car that is being sold as a project car these cars have gone through the roof in value and is well worth buying and fixing up as they are getting hard to find especially with factory air in a convertible from the 60`s all that being said it is being sold AS-IS where is buyer is responsible for pick up a $500.00 deposit through pay-pal is required at end of auction by the wining bidder any questions please ask thanks for looking
