Buick Skylark 1970 Description
Beautiful 1970 Skylark Custom Convertible. This classic cruiser had a driver-level restoration in 2014 with cinnamon bronze base coat / clear coat paint and a new convertible top. Virtually zero rust was found on the body after full media-blasting, xcept the trunk pan, hich was replaced, nd it appears that the floor pans were repaired at some point in the cars life by a previous owner. The paint is very nice but does show a few flaws on close inspection, very good 5-footer. The interior had also been re-done at some point, nd cleaned up really nicely. All the glass is good, ower top, ights and gauges all work (except clock), rand new American Racing rims with spyder caps and new BF Goodrich tires (Less than 200 miles on them). The bumpers are driver-quality, till show very well, ut would need re-chromed to make this a true show car (see last pics). An aftermarket stereo was added, ith speakers in the front kick-panels and rear convertible well.Mechanically, he car has a good, intage correct 350 2bbl engine with new HEI distributor, nd a smooth-shifting TH350 automatic transmission. No smoke or noises, tarts, uns, nd drives great, nd is an absolute blast to run around in and take to cruise nights and car shows. Power steering, ight and goes down the road straight. Power 4-wheel drum brakes with new master cylinder, hoes, nd brake cylinders. Originally an A/C car, omeone removed the under-hood components years ago.
