1931 Buick Victoria - Stately Retro Rod

This car was found in a barn in Northern California. The body was completely rust free and the wood was solid but engine was seized beyond hope so we decided to create a retro-rod with all the best components. Frame - boxed with diagonal cross members added then power coated.Front suspension - Kugel Komponents with forged polished SS a-arms disc. brakes wit polished back plates polished power rack and pinion and chrome coil overs.Rear suspension - double leaf springs custom made by Betts Springs.Engine - Buick 455 big block professionally built by Elsworth Machine with a Comp Cam new pistons rods valves springs and rockers etc. etc. and then balanced. The TA Performance intake manifold is topped with a 750 CFM Holley double pumper. The polished accessories are driven by a Marchserpentinesystem.Transmission - 200R-4 overdrive from Bowtie Transmissions built to handle 500+ horse power with a high stall torque converter.Drive shaft - Aluminum by Inland EmpireRear end - Currie Enterprises Ford 9" with 355 ratio. With the overdrive transmission the resulting cruise RPM is 2000 at 70 MPH.Brakes - Power assist discs up front and drums in rear with stainless steel brake linesFuel tank - 20 gallon stainless steel by Rock Valley with stainless steel gas line.Paint - PPG two stage black by Active Autobody in Sunnyvale.Interior - Seats and door panels by Central Upholstery and top by Sid Chavers.Gauges and accessories - The original gauge cluster was restored and is functional.
