Buick Grand National 1987 Description
Original Owner very nice Grand National, purchased new in 1987 at Key Buick in Springfield PA. Ziebartrust protection when new. Always garage kept.Very nice body, frame, and interior. New Exhaust system. New plugs, wires, oil and filter. Newer headliner. Verynice interior. Original am/fm stereo with working power antenna. Due to GM paint of that era the paint started to fail, so we had the carstripped to bare metal, glass removed, and repainted approximately 10 years ago. Paint is very nice with a couple of small touch ups. At the time of repaint, we replaced the windshieldsince it was removed. The car has only had 1 incident in its almost 30 year life. While pulling out of the street near to the house, the wheels spun and the car fishtailed; the l/r quarter panel tapped a tree. Rather than straighten and fill with plastic, we had a new 1/4 panel professionally installed at a local body shop. We had Haggerty insurance, and they agreed to fix it correctly. The car has been sitting forabout 4years inside of the garage where it has always been parked. It has been sittingand collecting dust, sowe decided it is time tolet somebody else enjoy this car. We drained the gas, put air in the tires, installed a new battery, changed the oil and filter, greased the front end, put in newplugs and wires, and started it up. It is now running good, but thetwo center injectors are gummed up. I put injector cleaner in the tank and drove it approximately 10 miles and it is getting better. I would replace the injectors if I were keeping it. But since many people upgrade the injectors for more performance, I will leave it to the new owner. Things to do: A/C is blowing warm, cooling fan wiring needs to be corrected, temp gauge not working, windows are slow, horn does not work, reverse lights do not work, valve cover gaskets should be replaced. This is an original owner Grand National that with very little time and money will make somebody an Excellent Grand National. Clear original title from 1987 in hand. The car is going on 30 years old and is being sold as is.100% positive feedback with 5 personal vehicles sold over the years. On May-28-16 at 19:09:18 PDT, seller added the following information:Power driver seat only
