Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1953 Description
You are looking at a real California Custom Cruiser that the whole family can enjoy! This 1953 Chevy 210 four door Sedan that has the "Right Look". It starts, drives and stops. It has a Strong Chevy 250 I6 engine out of a 60's Nova with a rebuilt Rochester Carb and aftermarket Air Filter, great on gas. Custom Motor Mounts. New Battery, New Distributor, Accel Super Coil with MSD wires, 12 volt 80 amp one wire Alternator. High flow oil filter. The Aluminum radiator with electric Fan keepsthe engine cool, new upper and lower hoses, with overflow tank.
Automatic Transmission with shifter and vintage Lucite shift knob on the column.
New Dual Exhaust exits the rear through shotgun tips, Sounds great.
This Chevrolet is a lowered ride with 3" blocks in the back and Jamco lowering springs in the front. Firestone Bias Ply White Wall Tires on 14" Steel wheels and Rare Imperial Stainless full wheel covers. 10 Bolt Nova Rearend with open drive line and drum breaks. The Drum Brakes stop like a 65 year old car, sometimes you have to pump them to "lock'em up"... that said they do stop. The windshield, back window, and most the flat glass are chip and crack free, while the passenger side front flat glass has some chips and cracks, but still open freely.
The interior is very comfortable with sold floors covered with emerald green carpet and sound dampener. Deluxe dash trim with 3 Gauge under dash unit shows all the vitals and works well. The rare Allstate Radio unit is in the dash but is untested. Both the bench and rear seats are wrapped in Ol'School Emerald Green and White Vinyl, that matches the door panels, package tray, and White headliner... See pics!!!
The body is straight and solid with zero viable rot. A older paint job shot in Two-tone Aqua and Pearl White Paint. The clear had failed from years in the California sun and has been hand rubbed with scotch bright pads, giving this car that " As Found" look. Solid trunk with green carpet, no Spare Tire. Very nice driver quality bumpers and bridges. Original Stainless grill and chrome teeth and re-chromed grill surround shine and show very well.
In a nut shell this is a one of a kind classic! Turn the key and go cruise! This is not a museum quality car or trailer queen, but it is a nice driver that will steal the show at any local gathering! Any and every-time I drive this car I get nothing but waves, thumbs ups, conversation, I cant come out of a store with out
somebody standing there looking in!
This is a California car, a daily driver with clear California title and Current registration through the end of the year. Visible Vin and Body Tags. Drive as is or restore it,
must see to appreciate!!!
