Chevrolet El Camino 1978 Description

This is a very solid 1978 Chevrolet El Camino project car. I originally bought the car with a blown engine and intentions of building it with and for my son. As usual plans and priorities have changed and I no longer have time to devote to this car. It is now time for it to find another home with someone who can bring it to its full potential.

The photos show this car in its current condition so please do not plan to drive it home. I have an entire garage full of parts from and for this car which will be included with the sale.

Anyone who knows these cars know that they are becoming very sought-after and are hard to find in this condition. The body is overall in excellent condition and is very solid. There is some minor rust in the floor which I believe is very repairable. The remainder of the car is rock solid. Body prep has been started on the drivers side and new floor mounts for a 60/40 split bench seat were welded in. These mounts will also work if you choose to install a bucket seat set-up. I have installed a full 2" drop suspension from Summit Racing with new springs and shocks on the rear and new drop spindles on the front. I have also purchased a new AMD 2" cowl-induction hood from Summit Racing which remains in the original box never installed and is included with the car.

Interior components are all there but many of the soft components (door panels etc.) will need to be replaced. Carpet and headliner are long gone. I have a nice split bench seat bought to replace the original on-piece bench in very good condition. All other original components have been saved and go with the car. You can decide what to replace and what to keep.

While I love these unique vehicles and would like to see this one through to completion reality is that it is time for it to go. I no longer have the time to put into it and it is taking up valuable garage space. I have set a very reasonable reserve and am open to any reasonable offer. Please no trades. I already have more cars than I have space for and am not interested in your boat motorcycle shot-gun washing machine mother-in-law or whatever lese you would like to get rid of ;-)

Buyer must make deposit through PayPal and contact me by email within 24 hours to arrange final payment and pickup. I am willing to assist with delivery within a reasonable distance from Savannah GA for the right deal. Let me know up front.

I have lowered the reserve to below what I have invested in this car. The hood alone costs 341.99 from Summit Racing. If you would like to make a reasonable offer please e-mail me. Thank you.
