Chevrolet Other 1957 Description
You are bidding on a 1957 Chevrolet 150 Series Sedan Delivery with double stamped VIN tag. The numbers on the VIN tag are VD57O168296 and C57-391. This is painted a two-tone maroon and has a maroon velour interior. It has a 1969 350ci V8 suffix VP and a 3-speed automatic. Some features include clock, ower brakes, M/FM radio, tewart-Warner Gauges (Volts, emperature and Oil Pressure), ach., igarette Lighter, MSD (ignition box, ap, ires, oil), delbrock (carburetor & manifold), ower rack and pinion, ubular control arms and B&M shifter. This is a fairly unique little Chevy. It was purchased about 25 years ago by the last owner from California where it was customized back in the late 60s to the way it looks today. The frame is a complete box frame from front to back and the front bumper is a one piece unit which I am told are found mainly on California production cars. The former owner informed me that this was the chase car for an identically painted drag car from the late 60s to early 70s called ‘The Door Slammer’. And from the research I have done, his may have initially been a government vehicle based on the double stamped VIN, SPL’ in the ACC line of the body tag and the 717 trim. It is believed that roughly 1,800 of these Sedan Deliveries were produced by GM in 1957. So this is your chance to own a very solid sedan delivery with an interesting history behind it. Buyer pays all shipping costs, 1,000 at end of auction and I will accept cash in person. For more information please call 1-607-279-0488.
