1966 C-10 STEP-SIDE, HORT BED, ATINA CHEVY

This tribute to the working man's truck of the 60's was brought back to life from a barn in Central Texas where it had sat since 1982. Over a period of 12 months the truck was disassembled and rebuilt maintaining the true uniqueness of the vehicle.

Engine: The heart of this exceptional rebuild is the very detailed restoration of the original 250 cubic inch 6 cyl. It was removed from the truck and completely broken down. The engine bay was sanded and painted to match the interior. The engine block, eads (casting number 3872708), anifold intake and exhaust were cleaned, ested and completely rebuilt back to original specs by City Motor Supply of Dallas Texas. Engine has less than 100 miles on it since the rebuild was completed!

-A newly rebuilt carburetor, uel lines, ilter and pump bring the fuel from a brand new gas tank and sending unit.

-All new stainless radiator, hermostat, nd hoses were also installed to keep it cool.

-New heater blower motor and all new heater hoses will keep the cab toasty this winter.

-New battery, lternator, park plugs/wires, istributor and coil will give you the spark you need.

Transmission: The original saginaw 3 speed "on the tree" that was used to change the gears in 1966 has underwent a detailed restoration as well. The transmission was totally disassembled and rebuilt by Wade Transmission of Dallas Texas.

-New clutch pressure plate and throwout bearing make going through the gears smooth and nostalgic.

Interior: This working mans truck cab was restored with a fresh coat of paint. the floor received patch panels from Classic truck parts and are solid. The cab floor was then painted with POR 15, nd the dash given some new trim.

-The original radio blank was replaced with an AM radio from the correct time period that was internally and externally rebuilt professionally in New Jersey.

-New kicker door speakers and antenna complete the package.

-New classic truck carpet was installed.

-New brake and clutch pedal pads add that urge to drive.

-Original bench seat was re-padded and covered by Bells Upholstery in Plano Texas keeping the original look alive... Shows amazing!

-DASH NOT CUT OR ALTERED IN ANY WAY! Glove box and ash tray are original!!

Windows roll up and down as they should. Doors open and close like new. Gun racks were present and painted to remain part of its character... remember it is a Texas raised truck!

-New bed wood is not a kit but painstakingly hand made like it would have been done in the 60's.

-New tires are on the newly painted original rims, o include the optional spare tire mounted on the rear fender! New rear wheel cylinders were installed as well.

-New stop and reverse lights spruce up the rear.

-Suspension has new classic truck lowering springs and new shocks.

This awesome truck is it's original blue (code 537) with no repaints, nd is ready to be used for the next 40 years and would make a great personal vehicle, hop truck, r marketing eye catcher for any business. All records and well over $8,000 in receipts are kept in a binder and come with the truck.

Vehicle is sold as is, o warranty. Exterior is authentically rough, nd I have made every effort to show condition in photos. Truck body, lass, oldings, nd trim have not been touched since it was found over a year ago. Rust in the usual placed and dents and dings are present as expected with paint chipping and flaking which adds to the nostalgia.
