Chevrolet C-10 1971 Description
This a turn key, hot rod pick up ready to go anywhere. Don't worry about waxing, or fear of a ding taking this somewhere. It is liberating to go as you are and still be a hit at the show.Very nice running and driving short bed chevy patina pickup . This is real patina from the sun of South Carolina. The truck mechanicals are completely gone through and you can take this anywhere. Yes you could fly in and drive home.
The Chevy drives great, tracks straight and handles great too with the new suspension and lowering kit.The new suspension combined with the new rally wheels and new mastercraft tires make for a smooth ride. Vintage Corvette center caps. 15 x 8 wheels with 235 75 tires.
The body received new inner and outer rockers, right and left front floor pans, 2 cab supports and cab corners. New door seals and sill plates. This was all professionally done. The cab is rebuilt to make it strong. The windshield is new along with new wipers. There is rust in the door bottoms, the tailgate bottom and the bed floor. Nothing that keeps it from driving or from car shows. The right front fender rusted in the right front from the battery tray location. The body is pretty straight. It has all of its original body parts and I don't think it has ever been in a major wreck.
New CPP lowering kit, 3 and 5 inches with new shocks and new springs.
The frame and bottom are surface rust only with 2 new floor sections.
The brakes are completely new. New discs, calipers, hoses and hardware. New drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, emergency brake cables and hardware.
The drive shaft has a new center bearing and all new u joints.
The exhaust is a new Thrush system thru headers that exit behind the rear wheels in the factory position. Nice sound but not annoying in the cab.
The engine is a very smooth 305 V8 with some go fast parts. Edelbrock manifold, new Edelbrock 1406 carb with electric choke, Hooker headers, new powder coated tall valve covers.. GM electronic distributor with recent cap and rotor, new wires, new plugs and then tuned for the new carb snd set up. New valve stem seals. New radiator, belts, hoses and alternator. Recent battery, oil change and filter. The transmission is a saginaw 3 speed with good clutch andshifts that are smooth and quiet. New Hurst floor shifter. The truck is fast but doesn't use a lot of gas. 15-18 MPG. on regular gas.
On the inside it has a new retrosound AM FM radio, a new rubber mat, seat belts and the heater is good. The interior is very clean and presentable. All lights work on inside and outside. Including license plate, back up, side markers, headlights, tail lights, and power supply. There is a rust spot at the top corner inside, pictured but it does not leak. New windshield. New Grant wheel with working horn. The gas tank and sending unit are new wired to the working gas gauge. All gauges work except the ammeter. Drivers door does not lock. Door seals are still seating in, need to close doors hard to shut until these seat.
I try to be thorough and truthful in my descriptions. I want you to know how much has been done to this truck and feel good about the description without any stories.
Please only bid if you have your money lined up to pay and check with anyone that might disagree with your purchase.

Just some more details on this fabulous survivor truck:
This a rare original medium green color truck with 1 re-paint, not many of these. It is also a factory V8 with custom trim and a factory short bed. It is a survivor with all of the original body parts, no accidents and even all of the trim is still there except 1 fender emblem. So rare color, rare patina, rare short bed and it is a survivor
The patina is real and not faux.
There have been over $5000 of parts installed on this truck to make it drive anywhere and pass MA inspection. Several thousand dollars was spent to install the parts too. Short bed project trucks usually sell for $4000-5000. So the math here is about $13000 invested All work was done by professionals with 30 plus years experience.
Some other new pieces I forgot to mention are the master cylinder, heater core, headlight switch. air cleaner, speedo transmission with new gear and cable
Someone will get a very nice truck at a very nice price as the reserve is set far below the investment.
likely this is 373 gears in rear with the factory 3 speed
i am pretty sure of 15 mpg in mixed city country driving, highway should be better
