Chevrolet Parkwood 1960 Description

Surfs up! Up for grabs we have a recently acquired 1960 Parkwood station wagon from Richmond VA. The car is approximately 95% complete. It is a small block V8 with automatic but started life with a 6 cylinder. Have not yet tried to get it running but the engine is not stuck. The engine code is F0908CEM which, after doing some research, codes out as a 305 CID from 1976-1980 with 2-bolt mains. Transmission is aluminum, either a powerglide or TH350. Car has a great "patina" look if that is what you want. This is an "original paint" car with the exception of brush painted front fenders that match the car very well. Had me fooled for a good while because the paint matches so well... Yes, it has a lot of surface rust but for a 56 year old car the body isn't too bad. One or two small spots of rust in the floors, spare well is good, all body braces look good. Tailgate has been repaired and needs some finishing work. Roof has a few spots of rust at the very back overhang and the lower rear quarters need some attention but aren't as bad as some I have seen. There are a couple small holes behind some of the quarter trim that don't show in the pics but they shouldn't present much of a problem as I will supply some quarter pieces from another car to fix them. Has a later power steering (605?) box, 2-speed wipers, and a late model power brake booster comes with it. The wagon also has the rare power rear window option!! All glass is good but windshield is cracked. A very good used tinted windshield that I previously had will come with it. Interior isn't all that bad considering age. Missing RH front door panel, fan shroud, and lower rear bumper pans. Front fenders, hood, inner fenders, core support all are very nice. I believe I have most if not all of the trim parts you see missing in the pictures. Needs total restoration. The cowl tag reads as follows: STYLE 60-1635 TRIM 863 ACC. OC BODY EP10202 PAINT 938A B Small "03C" stamped in top LH corner means body was built third week of March 1960 VIN: 01535B169XXX I have been selling 1960 chevy parts for years and can work other acquired parts into the package deal if needed or desired. I have a NOS RH full quarter panel and NOS door skins that are not included (and in my opinion really are not needed) but could be worked into the package if desired at extra cost. Also have a legendary 348 big block that was a good running overhauled engine when I pulled it over 20 years ago from a 1960 4-door hardtop that could be worked into the package deal at extra cost as well. In parts this car is worth way more than the asking price. My itemized parts list comes to over $7000 (crazy ain't it?) and will be happy to show it to you if you wanna see it. HOWEVER.... I prefer to sell it whole to someone who will restore and enjoy it at a good price. There are some duplicate parts that are in the pictures and winning bidder will get the BEST one of everything needed. I am a hobbyist first and foremost and would rather see one saved before parted out. Good clear Virginia title comes with the car signed by seller and waiting for your name in the buyer's spot. It shows 98,515 miles on the speedo. The battery has a "Sept 03" sticker on it so it has been off the road for quite some time. Rolls easy as it was tow-dollied from Richmond VA to Dover Delaware. Drop it.... air bag it... rat rod it.... street rod it.... or restore it. Car is like an artist's blank canvas and waiting for you to build it your way. Wagons are in!!! Come look!! I am available just about anytime if you wanna come see it. Any questions I can be reached at 302.730.3715 Land line, no texts. Overseas bidders are welcome but must arrange all shipping, I will help load here. A $300 NON REFUNDABLE deposit through paypal required within 24 hours of auctions end, balance within 2 weeks or car will be relisted. Will allow 30 days storage for pick-up if needed. Additional pics are available please ask if interested. Thanks, Mark
