Chevrolet Nomad 1960 Description
Very rare barn find, 1960 Chevrolet Brookwood station wagon, stored since 1967. Two owner car, I have owned it over 30 years. Original V8 with manual steering, and factory power brakes, has windshield washers, and that's about it for equipment.
This 1960 Brookwood, is the same body as the high line Nomad, just the base version, it is an original car with only minor touch ups done over 30 years ago. When I bought the car, I had the engine rebuilt, and had new gas tank, new brakes and new exhaust done on the car, it was driven very few miles, not enough to even burn labels off of the exhaust. I then parked it in mybarn / garage storage facility. This wagon has all original panels, and nice original floors something that is unheard of in 1959, and 1960 Chevrolets, yes nice solid rockers, fenders, floor braces, and rear compartment. The only repairs that were done, are on the tailgate in the outer skin, the gate is overall very solid.
The car is currently running, as the gas was drained when I parked it, the brakes work to move the car, I am sure they should be gone over again, as it has been a while since I did them. The interior is in good condition, the headliner is 98% intact with a couple small rips, the dash is mint, the rear seat is excellent, the front seat needs to be redone, door panels show some wear, and the vinyl mat is worn out in the car.
This is an ORIGINAL PAINT 1960 CHEVROLET, this is a not a show car, its a wonderfully solid wagon, that could be driven the way it is, the paint cleans up well and these are current pictures of the car, chrome is nice, grille is perfect, engine was detailed before being re-installed. Please ask any questions you may have, I have owned this car for decades and know everything about it, clean NJ title in my name, personal inspection is welcomed, the car is stored in Eastern Pennsylvania. I have a 100% positive feedback and want to keep it that way, no 0 or negative feedback bids will be honored without contact with me first, this Chevrolet is being sold AS IS, No Warranty either express or implied, be serious about bidding, as this is a contract, and be ready to complete the sale, a $1000.00 deposit is required by winning bidder at close of sale, and vehicle must be paid for within three days of winning bid. Please ask any questions, then there will be no surprises on either end of the deal. I just sent a Mustang out of the collection to New Zealand, and have no problem with over seas bidders, so bid with confidence, on this original wagon.
