Chevrolet Other Pickups 1966 Description
NO RESERVE reduced bidding starts a $2300.00 I have inspected this truck intensively pictures do not really do it justice as far as potential. It is mostly unmolested. The cab is overall solid, frame is great, running gear is complete and unmodified and MATCHING SERIAL NUMBER FRAM, bed is fair but very salvageable with a little extra work . This truck has great potential and once shown some a little love it will stand out for what it is and its rarity at shows and cruise ins. I do Dodge Power Wagons if I was a Chevy guy I would keep it and is worthy of being brought back too life . It is a true and rare 1966 K10 factory long bed 4x4 pickup . Standard catalog of American trucks shows production of long bed half ton 4x4 fleetside K10 pickups to be 1,976 trucks. I have been told of these 1976 4x4's only 612 were built with custom trim pkg. Truck is mostly complete minus engine and bell housing and work had been started previous owner pushed it aside for a vintage Jeep project and it comes with many parts and some repro parts as well. Actual mileage is unknown Over all cab is solid no roof rot or rot in A pillars or cowl, what rust in floor has been cut out and replaced and tacked in place using repro floor panels., including below floor, lower cab corners need to be finished but is a very small area of concern, New repro rocker panels are in place but not welded in, has used repro inner fenders in good shape and used good fenders as well as originals that are a little rough but hardware is there good battery tray and washer bottle or overflow tank frame, has fender emblems, body side trim is missing, but cab custom trim is there one side is slightly damaged but could be repaire, no rot at all in hood one small dent., doors have some minor outer skin rust one spot in each door but overall easy repairable very nice and clean inside no rust thru in bottom of either door, great door panels,The truck was 6 cyl believe a 292 and 3 on tree but a GM four speed and flywheel is what is with truck now, no engine but divorced transfer case with all drive shafts are there including intermediate from the manual trans back, dash mounted parking brake works great. The gentleman I got truck from was going to put a Cummins in it, so trans cross-member was cut in center not at the frame but a clean cut an easy weld back together, The vintage, bed is a little rough but repairable what rot is there is below body molding line in wheel house and behind it above is solid and straight, original bed wood is poor and skid strips and cross sills have some rust, tailgate is solid no rot thru and not beat badly I think it was a repro with correct latches in place hardly ever see an old truck still with a tailgate, Solid frame has surface rust no rust thru that I can find anywhere, Suspension is original uncut and never lifted front axle is closed knuckle and free wheeling hubs as original and GM corporate rear all 6 lug, Inside of truck is pretty darn clean original paint, seat and even 4x4 operation decal on roof, door panels are nice all hardware and handles there but missing one door handle. all glass is there and good but windshield is cracked, new reproduction chrome door sills, extra bezels and lens for exterior signals, 2 gas tanks, Has a painted front bumper that would be nice with minor work truck is missing about nothing but engine and bell housing, At first glance truck looks rough but when you really start looking it has great potential and in much better shape than first impression from picture, Truck came from from Virginia retitled 2/16/16 too Florida I will sell with Georgia bill of sale and Florida open title. Can deliver within 400 miles for $2 dollars a loaded mile, At end of auction $500 dollar deposit thru Paypal balance to be paid within 10 days cash or cashiers check/money order too clear my bank for truck to be released to buyers possession or his agent. I welcome any inquiries and happy too discuss by phone in length details about the truck message for number and time to be reached also would be happy too call you message me a number I will respond. I have provided many pics, but reached maximum allowable can email additional pics . I researched this truck and it is the real deal verified by K vin number on upper door jamb and title matching serial number frame and driveline. Is a cool very rare truck of a popular Chevy body style that I have never seen in person in a 4x4. I have included a pic of a restored a restored K10 and obviously is not the project truck you are bidding on you are bidding on the blue truck.
