Chevrolet Corvette 1964 Description

1964 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe, approx 59K miles; VIN #40837S106503 Trim tag 491AA 900AA

NO RESERVE!

I have owned this fine classic for 12 years. This is not a show car. It is in excellent "driver" condition and it gets tremendous attention wherever I take it. It is believed to be rare, one of only four, Black/Silver 327/365HP coupes built in 1964. Build date December 06, 1963; Rare Power Windows, Power Brakes, tinted glass, backup lights, AM/FM radio, rear window defrost, Date correct and casting correct engine block, (within two weeks of build date of car); Block has been decked.
There is no VIN on the block.
All the following work has been performed during my ownership:
Engine professionally rebuilt by Corvette specialist at a cost of nearly $8,000.00. Estimated 400hp.
Rebuild included Edelbrock aluminum heads for improved drivability.
I have three date correct, casting correct heads. These have been MagnaFluxed and they are good.
Correct 1964, powder coated 327/365 hp aluminum intake manifold; Less than 500 miles since engine rebuild;
Currently has Holley 750 double pumper carburetor. I have correct Holley 2818 carburetor that needs to be rebuilt.
Brand new Keisler Engineering, Tremec TKO 600 5 speed transmission with new clutch and flywheel professionally installed by Tony's Corvette shop in Gaithersburg, MD;
Original numbers matching transmission is stored and included.
True real "knock-off" wheels with excellent condition tires.
Car was repainted before my ownership and could benefit from a paint job now.
Interior in overall very good condition; Driver's seat has small tear and carpet is worn.
I have New correct Al Knoch silver carpet and leather seat covers ready to be installed;
New complete exhaust with correct off-road mufflers installed by Tony's Corvette Shop;
Front end rebuilt by Tony's Corvette Shop to include new Koni shocks, new springs, rebuilt steering box and steering column.

Receipts available for all work performed. Over $47,000. Invested.
I purchased the car in 2005 in Pittsburgh, PA from Corvette dealer with just under 56K miles;
Dealer purchased car out of California and from my research, the prior owner purchased the car in Chesterland, Ohio in 1990 and drove the car approximately 3,000 mile in their 15 years of ownership.
There is no rust now or ever anywhere in, or on the frame or birdcage.
I am happy to answer any questions.

I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION PRIOR TO ANY BIDDING AS THE CORVETTE IS ALSO FOR SALE LOCALLY!
