Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1977 Description

Up for sale is an absolutely stunning 1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau Sport Coupe! This all original un-restored beauty is a true SURVIVOR with only 29,000 original miles since new! This was the original elderly owner's pride and joy until he passed away in 2012. I acquired the car from a family member who received it when the original owner's estate was settled. This car has always been garaged, has not been winter driven, and was only caught in the rain a few times! It is equipped as follows:
1. 305 (5.0 liter) V8 engine
2. Automatic transmission
3. Deluxe trim package
4. Turbine cast wheels
5. Landau package, consisting of padded roof, deluxe cloth interior, side moldings, and extra exterior trim.
6. Air conditioning (still nice and cold)
7. Power steering and brakes
8. Dual sport mirrors
9. AM radio
Car is black with pewter colored vinyl top. It is absolutely amazing how totally original this Monte Carlo is! Has 90 to 95% original paint, original vinyl top, original chrome, and is all original under hood and in trunk. I have the trunk mat which has been stored in a plastic bag all these years! Paint is deep and glossy, not faded or cracked. Of course, like any used car, there are some small nicks and imperfections, but nicer than many 2 year old cars I have seen! Vinyl top is supple and bright, not dried out or ripped. Chrome and bright work gleams, not pitted or faded. Original interior is like new, no rips, tears, fading, or cracks, and even still has a hint of that new car smell left! Trunk and engine compartments are unmolested with original paint and decals! In short, this looks like a well kept 2 to 3 year old car!
As you would expect, engine and transmission are strong and powerful. No funny noises, smoke, or leaks. Car rides as smooth as silk, and is tight and quiet! This Monte Carlo is original to the point of having original belts, hoses, clamps, and even ALL 5 ORIGINAL TIRES still in place! The 4 tires on the car still look great, even tread wear, no dry rot cracks that I have noticed. Amazingly, they go down the road straight and smoothly with no major flat spots like you would expect to see. The spare looks like it has never been used! A few days ago, I drove it 100 miles with no problems or issues. Everything still works on the car, even the electric clock!
As you can see in the pictures, I have all the original papers including owners manual, warranty booklets, warranty card, mileage statement, sales invoice, and finance contract. Also have service record receipts which also show the mileage through the years. Original SURVIVOR cars are the up and coming thing in the collector car hobby! Anyone can take a heap out of a junkyard and restore it, but THEY ARE ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE! If someone gave you a project car for free, you could not restore it for what you can buy this time capsule for. Don't miss it!
About me: I have been a vintage car hobbyist for over 40 years! I favor nice original, stock or "survivor" cars from the late 1950's to early 1970's. I have a modest collection and will sometimes sell a car to make room for a new acquisition. I am located in upstate New York, about mid way between Albany and Utica, about 25 minutes from I-90 (NYS Thruway).

I am sorry for all the rules, but it seems that 5% of people who don't pay attention spoil things for the 95% who are good. Thanks for looking!
