Chevrolet Suburban 1991 Description
ENDED EARLY ANDRELISTED DUE TO UPDATED DETAILS AND CORRECTED AUCTION SETTINGS TO ALLOW INTERNATIONAL BIDDERSWELCOME TO THE AUCTION OF MY 1991 SQUARE BODY SUBURBAN 4X4 SILVERADO(LAST YEAR THIS BODY STYLE) V2500 3/4 TON 8 LUG AXLES.
I HAVE NEVER OFF ROADED THIS TRUCK. HOWEVER THE 4X4 IS HOOKED UP AND I HAVE A VIDEO I CAN SEND TO SHOW YOU IT WORKING OFF THE GROUND IN 4H 2H 4L AND N
THIS TRUCK WAS A FACTORY 6.2 DIESEL AUTO FROM NEW BUTCONVERTED BY AN EXCELLENT ENGINEER AROUND 15 YEARS AGO TO A CUMMINS 6BT FROM A 1995 DODGE RAMTRUCK FOR HIS PERSONAL VEHICLE
IT HAS THE P7100 INJECTION PUMP AND THE ENGINE AND PUMP ARE TOTALLY STANDARD.THE TRUCK IS VERY CIVILIZED IT HAS A MAGNAFLOW SINGLE BOX EXHAUST BUT NOT LOUD.YOU CAN CHAT AWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS
THE AXLES ARE 14 BOLT SEMI FLOATING REAR WITH LSD POSI AND DANA? 10 BOLT FRONT BOTH 8 LUG
THE TRANSMISSION IS A 5 SPEED 4X4 1998 NV4500THE TRANSFER CASE I BELIEVE IS A 241 DODGE/CHEVY BUT IT WAS REBUILT AND HAS BEEN MODIFIED/ CONVERTED WITH THE DODGE PARTS TO HAVE THE CORRECT DROP FOR THE FACTORY GM FRONT AXLE
THIS TRUCK HAVING LIVED ON THE DRY WEST COAST (WAS CALIFORNIA REGISTERED) HAS NO RUST TO SPEAK OFF JUST SUN BURNT PAINT / CLEARCOAT AND SOME LIGHT SURFACE RUST.(SEE PICS) (THE ROOF ABOVE WINDSHIELD). THE 2 SMALL MARKS ON THE FRONT OF THE HOOD ARE FROM A BUG SHIELD I REMOVED AND NOT HOLES.
I HAVE OWNED IT AROUND 2 YEARS AND ONLY USE IT FOR LONG TRIPS WHERE IT HAS BEEN FLAWLESS. I DO NOT USE IT OFF ROAD AND NEITHER DID THE PREVIOUS OWNER
IT HAS NOT GOT THE INTERCOOLER OR AC RAD FITTED BUT IS AN EASY JOB.BUT.... THE CUMMINS ENGINE AND TRUCK DOES STILL HAVE THE FACTORY AC COMPONENTS.THE TRUCK HAS BILLET MACHINED PARTS FOR I.C DELETEI LIVE IN HIGH ALTITUDE AND THIS TRUCK FLATTENS THESE MOUNTAIN ROADS. I HAVE NEVER FELT ANY NEED FOR MORE POWER EVEN WHEN TOWING CLASSIC CARS ON A SINGLE CAR HAULER.(TOW HITCH IS STAMPED 10,000 LBS) AND HAS 2 WORKING ELECTRICAL SOCKETS
THE TRUCK HAS IN THE LAST 18 MONTHS HAD A REBUILT RESEALED STEERING BO, NEW POLY BUSHINGS ACROSS THE FRONT AND A NEW HYDRABOOST SYSTEM.
ITS A CUMMINS SO YES IT DOES HAVE SMALL OIL LEAKS IT HAS ALSO BEEN FITTED MANY YEARS I HAVE NOT POWER WASHED OFF THE MOTOR OR UNDERSIDE SO YOU CAN SEE EXACTLY WHAT YOUR GETTING. IT DOES NOT LEAVE PUDDLES OF OIL!
IT STARTS FIRST TIME EVERY TIME AND I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO TRAVEL ACROSS COUNTRY IN IT AT ANY TIME. IT DOES NOT USE UNUSUAL AMOUNTS OF OIL OR WATER AND NO IT DOESN, ,ROLL COAL,!
THE INTERIOR HAS THE USUAL SAGGING HEADLINER A SUN CRACKED DASH PAD AND ONE VISOR IS A BIT SCRUFFY. ( I MAY HAVE ANOTHER PAIR)THE REAR LOAD AREA CARPET IS A LITTLE DIRTY.OTHER THAN THAT ITS PRETTY NICE FOR AN OLD TRUCK AND BEING THE SILVERADO IT HAS A NICE PLUSH COMFY INTERIOR WITH CAPTAINS SEATS.I HAVE INSULATED THE CENTER STORAGE BOX AND IT KEEPS DRINKS COLD ALL DAY.THE STEREO IS THE FACTORY AM FM CASSETTE WITH UPRATED SPEAKERS IN FACTORY LOCATIONSAND IT ALSO HAS A CB RADIO FITTED
THE TRUCK HAS A FEW BUMPS AND BRUISESTHE WORST BEING ON THE BACK DOOR. THE FRONT 2 DOORS HAVE HOLES FROM SOME NICE STAINLESS STEEL TOWING MIRRORS I REMOVED (INCLUDED) AND SOME MINOR DENTS ON THESE DOORS. AGAIN ALL EASY IF YOU WANT TO MAKE PERFECT OR SWAP PANELS PLEASE EXAMINE THE PICS IT IS NOT A WRECK!
THE BRAKE CONTROLLER IS WORKING FINE. AND THE TRUCK STOPS STARTS AND DRIVES LIKE IT SHOULD. BUT ITS A SOLID AXLE, BOX STEERING LEAF SPRUNG OLD TRUCK IT WONT DRIVE LIKE YOUR NEW TRUCK OR HONDA!
THE HEATER IS GREAT AND THE OPENING 1/4 LIGHTS HAVE BEEN NICE FOR AIR FLOW ALTHOUGH I WAS GOING TO RE CONNECT THE A.C.
AS FOR MILEAGE ON THE ENGINE I WOULD HAVE TO RE CHECK THE PAPER WORK ETC FROM THE ORIGINAL BUILD(I WILL CHECK AND UPDATE THIS). THE SPEEDOMETER AND MILEOMETER WORK AND SEEM PRETTY ACCURATE
OVERALL IMO THIS IS A VERY NICE TRUCK WITH A WELL DONE WELL AND PROVEN CONVERSION HOWEVER I DONT USE IT THAT OFTEN AND I WOULD PREFER A 4 DOOR PICK UP TRUCK FOR OCCASIONAL USE AS I HAVE ACCESS TO A SLIDE IN CAMPER
THIS CHEVY HAS BEEN PRETTY MUCH USED AS A CAR BUT HAS BEEN ALL OVER THE U.S WITH THE RETIRED ENGINEER PREVIOUS LONG TERM OWNER/BUILDER. AND SOME LONG TRIPS WITH ME
I HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY AND I THINK THE NEW OWNER SHOULD BE TOO. ALSO NO TITLE ISSUES TO DEAL WITH AS IT WAS A FACTORY DIESEL FROM NEW AND WAS ALREADY REGISTERED IN CALIFORNIA
IT HAS ALCOA WHEELS AND MICHELIN TIRES. THE TOW RECEIVER HAS 2 ELECTRICAL SOCKETS. AND THE FUEL TANK IS BIG! IT ALSO HAS SMALL BODY / SUSPENSION LIFT FOR FITMENT/CLEARANCE REASONS ALTHOUGH I THINK YOU COULD IF YOU WANTED TO BRING IT DOWN A COUPLE OF INCHES
IT DOES NOT HAVE 3RD ROW SEATING BUT A FRIEND OF MINE SAYS HE THINKS HE HAS ONELET ME KNOW IF THIS IS IMPORTANT TO YOU AND I CAN ASK FOR A PRICEALTHOUGH I DONT KNOW IF THE HOLES ARE DRILLED FOR IT.
ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK OR SEND ME A CONTACT NUMBER TO DISCUSS. I ENCOURAGE GENUINE BUYERS TO COME OUT AND TAKE A LOOK AND IL TAKE YOU FOR A DRIVE.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE SERIOUS I HAVE BEEN AS HONEST AS I CAN AND I HAVE ZERO TIME FOR TIME WASTERS. IF YOU HAVE LOW OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK PLEASE SEND ME A CONTACT NUMBER TO CONFIRM YOUR SERIOUS .ALSO PLEASE IF YOU NEED PERMISSION OR NEED TO CHECK YOUR FUNDS DO SO BEFORE BIDDING.

NO THE AC HAS NOT BEEN DISCONNECTED DUE TO A FAULT.
THE TRUCKS CUMMINS ENGINE CURRENTLY HAS THE AC PUMP FITTED COMPLETE WITH BELT AND HOSES (CAPPED OFF)THE ACTUAL TRUCK HAD AC FROM THE FACTORY AND IT IS ALL STILL INSTALLED.I HAVE (AND IS INCLUDED) A DODGE AC CONDENSOR (RAD) AND THE CHEVY AC CONDENSOR (RAD) SO SIMPLY USE WHAT EVER ONE IS BEST TO USETHE CUMMINS/CHEVY AC HAS NEVER BEEN HOOKED UP TOGETHER. BUT AS FAR AS I KNOW IF YOU WANT IT WORKING YOU SHOULD JUST NEED TO CONNECT THE HOSES FIT THE RAD AND RE CHARGE THE SYSTEM AND MAYBE THE AC 12V WIRE . THE PUMP I WOULD THINK IS FINE BUT I HAVE NEVER RAN IT SO OBVIOUSLY I CANT BE SURE. BUT NEW ONES ARE $114 AND A JUNK YARD ONE IS $40.
SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION.
I WILL TRY TO GET MORE PICS UP AND MORE VIDEOS THIS WEEK I CAN SEND TO SHOW IT RUNNING AND DRIVING.
