Chevrolet Suburban 1973 Description
Original Super Cheyenne Suburban Estate C-20 Series. This truck is one family ownedwith 92,000 original miles. It is well equipped with some rare options. It has the factory ESTATE package, including the exterior wood grain trim (roof rack, spoiler, and side panels). It has been mildly restored 5 years ago receiving a new coat of the original Skyline Blue, new window channel rubber at all four doors, rear quarter glass rubber, NOS grille emblem, NOS rearstainless rock chip guards,New hood emblem, NOS fuel cap in correct woodtrim, one NOS Estate emblem, New Fuel Pump, New 31"x10.5x16".5 tires, new exterior wood laminate, new tailpipes, and a full tune up. The rear window regulatorhas been rebuilt and works smooth and fast. The paint looks amazing for a driver with only a few scratches accumulated since the resto. The interior is all original Pearl seats, with new black carpets, and a new pearl headliner. The black Dash is original with only a minor crack. The aftermarket additions are all of the era which were bought and installed in the 1970's, including the "fuzz buster II" radar detector, trailer stabilizer, and cb .The CB and trailer stabilizer still work, but I never tried the radar detector. Two auxillary fuel tanks have been added to each side in the 70'swhichare visible under the rocker panels. These tanks are filled through the rear wheel wells, each holding 20 gallons apiece with the factory 30 gallon tank, giving a total of 70 USG on board if you wanted to still use it for long hauls. Some other noteworthy options are a locking rear diff, rear and front A.C. and electric clock. All included with the Cheyenne Super was the woodtrim around the dash, insulation, wood trim door panels, as well as othercreature comforts for the time.
The truck wasgaraged sinceday one and only used for camping. The original 454 is still strong, the original TH400 transmission shifts smooth, I serviced it with a pan gasket, filter, and fluid. The tiresand restoration itself has only 500 miles on it, being garaged since as well. I have drivenit to local and distant car shows as far as NY 200 miles away without any problems. This is a one family owned truck beingpassed down to the son, when the father passed away. The original window sticker and all dealer paperwork is included with this truck, right down to the dealer license plate frame. The maintenance records go back to day one in a hand written notebook. The seats cleans up nice with only one hole (drivers front side of the bench.
This is truly a beautiful truck ready for the shows. The early "square body" suburbans are rarely seen, let alone one with all these amazing options and condition. The picturesDO NOT do this truck justice with this old crappy camera, come out and look at her in person andbe amazed. I will assist in loading the truck for those that want to ship her, or drive it away. I will store it for up to 2 weeks after the auction ends if payment is received. I prefercash in hand, but will accept paypal. Call or Text 978 894-6992
Getting a lot of interest In the truck, thanks for the nice comments. Some have asked about rust, it had little to none before it was painted. It has all original panels. It was never driven in the winter, for it was used as a camper hauler. I have never driven it in even inclement weather. Again it was always garaged, never saw weather, and taken off the road from September till May. Thanks
On Jun-21-16 at 17:24:00 PDT, seller added the following information:For anyone interested I do have two five lug 1/2 ton spindles complete with rotors and calipers, as well as a 5 lug complete rear differential drum to drum I will include if you want it. I pondered converting the truck at one point and lowering it. I decided it was just too nice of an original to do it to.
