Chevrolet Corvair 1965 Description
No reserve!1965 Chevrolet GreenbrierCorvair Van
I purchased this vehicle two years ago so that I could have some adventures with my college-age daughter. Now we need to finish paying for college! We have personally put just over 2000 miles on the vehicle. Part of the fun, of course, is the conversation we have with admirers while we are out and about in our Greenbrier. A ton of the fun is the simplicity of being together in a vintage van with the open road in front of us or a serene setting surrounding us!
This is a fun van and is ready for more adventures! It has run wonderfully for us.
I am not a "car person" (I just put gas in my two cars and let the experts do the rest), but I am doing my best to describe this wonderful van. The pictures are part of the description.
I have had an ASE certified mechanic and Corvair enthusiast maintain this vehicle. Although he is not an appraiser, he feels the vehicle is priced well and is worth more than the opening bid.
The following imperfections of this 51-year-old van do not affect its function but are my effort to inform the next owner: The separate back drop panel has peeling paint (see pic). The front windshield has a leak at the gasket. The van has been kept covered or garaged and has not been driven in the rain since I discovered this. There is a line in the paint by the drivers side mirror (see pic) and another by the back door.
Bench seat in front. Two bench seats in back, one rear facing. (Benches are easily moved/removed. My daughter and I can attest to that fun of its functionality.) Includes one key and original owners manual. Matching carpeting with light wear. Includes spare tire, additional headliner (as I replaced one original section), Clarks Corvairs catalog, and an extra oil filter.
Buyer has right to inspect this vehicle personally or via a third party prior to close of auction. This is a vintage/antique vehicle and is being sold "as is." I am a private seller--not a dealer, mechanic, or professional salesperson. I am simply a driver who has enjoyed this vehicle. I have done my best to describe this vehicle and remain open to answering any questions or sending additional photos prior to the close of this auction.
Deposit of $1000 required within 24 hours of close of auction. Complete payment required within 72 hours of close of auction.
The sale of this vehicle is final when it leaves my property without me. Until then, the vehicle is available for inspection. Buyer is responsible for pick up of this vehicle. Buyer is responsible to arrange own delivery of this vehicle if not personally picking it up. If you choose to have this vehicle shipped, please make those arrangements prior to bidding so that you are sure of that additional expense. If shipping, please arrange for this vehicle to leave my property within one week of close of auction.
