Chevrolet Corvette 1973 Description
1973 Corvette Stingray Coupe 350 automatic. Low reserve. Silver exterior with medium blue vinyl interior. I’ve owned the car 4-1/2 years and it has been garaged the entire time. Runs strong and handles great and has been very dependable as an occasional “driver” – I have put approx. 400 miles on the car during ownership. Odometer shows 4,378 which I believe accurately reflects 104,378 total miles. Equipped with factory A/C (not currently working but converted to R-134) and riding on Kelley Platinum TE radials which have only about 5k miles on them and good tread left. Since I’ve owned it, I have replaced many cosmetic items, which include new: exterior rear view mirrors; license plate bezel; interior trim [A-pillars; kick plates; armrest cushion; and rear defroster vent (which was especially hard to find)]. Mechanical work done and NEW parts installed over the last 4 years include: Holley carb. plus chrome air cleaner; radiator & hoses; front & rearbrake calipers; brake master cylinder, booster & hoses; power steering pump, belt & hoses; alternator; motor mounts; turn signal switch; windshield washer pump & reservoir; and battery.
Prior owner installed an overdrive transmission and the car cruises on the interstate at low RPMs. Kill switch installed to conserve battery life. He also repainted the car in 2011 and the finish is in good shape – rear bumper was repainted matching silver. There are a couple of minor dings (front bumper and corner of one T-top esp.) that I’ve done my best to show in the pictures. Car comes with T-top storage bags (very rare to have survived since ’73); owner’s manual; new center console cover (painted with correct spray to match interior) and clock repair kit (clock not working) – I have not had a chance to replace/repair either of these items, so they’ll go with the vehicle. After-market JVC radio/tape deck works OK, but not great.
A very solid car that, while it is not perfect, has been well maintained and is ready to enjoy. Selling because we just moved and now have too many projects underway.
