Chevrolet C-10 1972 Description
Things of quality have no fear of time, and this 1972 Chevrolet C10 pickup is a fine example. Powerful, handsome, and ready to work or play, it's proof that the market for clean classic pickups remains strong.Finished in handsome dark blue metallic (always a favorite on any Chevrolet), this C10 offers a sophisticated color combination that you don't often see on vehicles of this vintage and looks awesome anywhere it goes. Bodywork is quite good, and it's obvious that this truck did not need any major surgery prior to paint, especially hailing from the warm, dry southern US. The dark blue finish has a lot of metallic in the mix, so it really pops out in the sunlight, and the way it plays over the rounded stepside fenders makes it look far more expensive than it is. It also appears that this truck never worked for a living, with a bed that's in incredible condition thanks to fresh oak planks and chrome rub strips that only enhance the vintage vibe. There's plenty of new trim to make it sparkle, including the mirrors, door handles, window trim, and bumpers, and the original grille is in fantastic condition. Despite a few signs of use, this truck shines like a beacon in our showroom with its handsome color and sharp presentation. Black vinyl upholstery gives the interior an upscale, almost formal look, and the thoroughness of the restoration is evident in the painted door panels, which match the bodywork. The bench seat is firm and comfortable for three, offering that tooled detailing on the seat cover that was pure 1970s funky. A heavy-duty mat covers the floor, so no worries about getting the carpet dirty, and the dash has all the original gauges intact and operational, with minimal fading. The original thin-rimmed steering wheel is in great shape and yes, you're seeing it correctly, that's a good old fashioned three-on-the-tree column shifter. An AM/FM radio lives in the dash, making this is the kind of truck where you can slide inside and feel instantly at home. The 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood is a crate motor that was dropped in about 5000 miles ago, so it's still quite fresh. It's a potent, torquey mill that moves the pickup with the authority of a muscle car and as a small block Chevy, it looks right in the vintage pickup. Nestled into a very clean engine bay, it looks extremely crisp with painted valve covers and a factory-style air cleaner. It's not radical, still running a 2-barrel carburetor and cast iron exhaust manifolds, but there is a great-sounding dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers that sound great. A big aluminum radiator is the biggest single modification, and it's actually kind of cool to see such a no-frills engine bay that's going to be insanely easy to maintain. The 3-speed manual transmission feeds a rugged 12-bolt rear end, which highlights a beautifully detailed undercarriage that includes stain black paint, shiny exhaust pipes, and those beautiful wood planks. Fat Rally wheels look awesome and are fitted with spinners and 255/70/15 blackwall radials that stuff the wheel wells properly.Don't miss your chance to be a part of the next big thing, these Chevys are hot!
