Chevrolet Camaro 1991 Description
1991 Chevy Camaro RS/Z28 B4C High Pursuit Patrol Police car. This is an extremely rare survivor Camaro with incredibly low mileage (69,350). Only 592 of these cars were built in 1991 (even less with the bigger 350cid V8) and all were only supposed to be available to police or government with a special fleet ID number. A few cars ended up in public hands and never saw service. This rare example still includes the sticker residue from the PD it was in service at.B4C RPO makes the car aZ28 as an RS Coupe.
The air conditioning blows ice cold air. Power windows, power door locks, power hatch release and factory AM/FM stereo work properly. Has been recently serviced and no mechanical issues, Airbag light is on on dash.No other warning lights are on.The car does NOT leak a drop of anything. All exterior lights work and this vehicle is road worthy and can be driven anywhere. This car is very solid with no rust issues at all coming from an Oregon PD.
This is a truly collectible car of which many probably did not survive. I hate to part with it, but I think someone could enjoy it rather than it just sitting in my garage. This car is 25 years old and is registered as a historic vehicle in Ohio. I have included a pic of the factory options label as well as a brief explanation of the B4C option.
I will not accept a bid from anyone with a "0" buyers rating. If you do not have purchase history with eBay or if you have any questions I may be able to answer, you can TEXT me ONLY at 5one3-267-1nine78. This sale is "as-is". If you are in the Cincinnati area, I encourage you to inspect the car in person. You may never see another one. Good luck bidding.
Below is an excerpt from GM-EFI.com:
“For 1991, B4C Camaros came equipped with:
- Either the LB9 TPI 5.0L 305ci V8 mated to a five-speed stick or four-speed auto, or B2L/L98 5.7L 350ci V8 with a four-speed auto
- Full Z28 suspension with limited-slip differential (some had G92 performance rear axle option)
- Z28 16-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels with 245/50ZR16 Goodyear performance tires
- Z28 four-wheel disc brakes
- Engine oil cooler
- 105 amp battery
- 1LE front brake package (available mid year)
Not cheap by any stretch, 5.0L cars ran $3,135 over the price of an RS, with 5.7L B4Cs adding $3,950. Oh well, the Government can afford it.
For 1991, 592 B4C Camaros saw active duty. To this day some agencies still employ their B4C Camaros, as they have lost none of their handling capabilities over the years, matching or surpassing even current performance cars.
Over time through police auctions and such, some lucky civilians have been able to acquire the 3rd-Gen B4C Camaros, although they are extremely rare.”
