Dodge Challenger 1973 Description
Up for auction is My 1973 Dodge Challenger found sitting & covered in A Garage since 1990. The car was parked a little earlier do some tinkering & freshening up bu, as I was told kids came & all that changed. The car sat & during that time parts were bought with intentions to put back on the road bu, that never happened. Fast forward to this past summer. I got a call & got the opportunity to buy this car. Once I had it home, I had to see what exactly what this guy was doing to it & figure out what needed to be done or redone to get road worthy. Once I had a clear idea what needed to be don, I did it. The car is on the roa, runs strong & is fun to drive!
This challengerhas the A 57 rallye package. I have thefender tag & the build sheet whichis still in the back seat. Originally a 318 3sp stick, 8 3/4 posi, manual steering & manual disc brakes. The car came B5 blue with black interior & top. Now the car has a rebuilt `71 340 (mild) with the #`s orig 3sp trans. It has headers with dual exhaust exiting thru original T/A exhaust pipes. I put all new brake lines & hoses & wheel cylinders on from the right stuff with rebuilt front calipers. New main fuel line from the right stuff, new fuel pump, starter, batter, oil & filter, antifreeze, trans oil, U joints etc. The body is very nice & solidon the ca, the lower quarters have been patched with metal in a couple small areas . Floors & trunk floorare original &verysolid. The only rust on the car is a couple spots on the cowl as shown in the pic. The guy put a 1970 nose on it in the mid 80`s. It has new at the timeNOS 70front fenders on it, nos lower valence & usedGrill & front bumper. Looking underneath the fender, they are spotless with part numbers like they were put on yesterday. The car was repainted in the early 80`s to black. (its a 10 footer there`s dings here & there) The challenger is pure Old school early 80`s built. The interior has 72 charger leather se buckets & the rest is original . The carpet was replaced back in the day & looks brand new. The dashpad is very nice as well. The speedometer needle is broke but, the odometer works as well as the other gauges except the tach. This Challenger is a fun car, You can get in & go & enjoy it now! with a little tlc this car will be great! I reserve the right toend the auction early at any time.
