Up for sale is probably one of the most SOLID "project" status Route Vans around.
All things considered this has very minimal rust, with the passenger rear corner being the most rusty spot on the vehicle. There are a couple of other rust areas but by far nothing as bad as I have seen on other route vans. (See pictures)
The van is equipped with a flat head straight 6 engine that I have had running several times, but for some reason I keep shorting out batteries. Just being honest. This truck runs on a positive ground 6v system and for some reason a fresh 6v battery will start it right up with a bit of fuel in the carb, but after 1 or 2 cranks the battery won't turn the engine over. I don't have the time for it any more and am going to be building a house within the next couple of months so this project has to go.
As you can see in the pictures, someone once converted this in to a camper. It has a bed spring that folds down off the wall, a stove, sink and cabinets over the sink.
Included with the truck are rare and hard to find original pieces like, gauges, speedo, NOS knobs for the choke, fans, and so on. Also included are fuel pumps, mirrors a windshield wiper AND SEVERAL PARTS DIAGRAMS, CATALOGS, HOW TO BOOKS SPECIFICALLY FOR THE DODGE ROUTE VAN AND B-SERIES TRUCKS.
The frame is super solid with no rust issues.All the tires hold air, making it easy to move.Floors are super solid including interior wheel wells.BONDED TITLE IN MY NAME.
