Dodge Coronet 1969 Description

1969 Dodge Super Bee: I have owned this car since 2009.Shortly after purchase I completely disassembled the car and rebuilt it with the help of some very good friends. The car WAS NOT a rotisserie build as this car is driven regularly to and from cruise-ins and car shows. Please read entire ad before asking questions. Paint and Body:Taken apart in 2009 and finished up a year later new full quarters were installed on both sides, wheel houses, trunk floor, drop offs and the filler panel between rear window and trunk. All of the aftermarket parts were purchased from AMD.Originally F3 (light metallic green) the car is now finished in F6 (bright metallic green). The paint and body on this car as you can tell from the pictures are extremely nice. All the jambs, engine compartment and trunk are very nice and detailed. All the trim including the grille and taillight panel are nice. Both bumpers were sent off and re-chromed to a superior finish.
Drivetrain:Currently the car has a 68 model 383 in it with amopar performance 284-484 hydraulic cam, mopar electronic distributor (have original one) and Holley 650 vacuum carb.Other than that it is completely stock including the original intake, exhaust manifolds andvalve covers.I also have what Ibelieve to be the originalshort block to the car but the vin pad is lightly stamped on three of the sequence numbers and is hard to make out unless you zoom in on it in different directions. It is also like this on the 4-speed pad on the same numbers.I have ran all the date codes on the car and I feel certain these are original piecesalthough I want the purchaser to know this. When I removed the engine and transmission from the car in 09 it did not look as if it had ever been taken out.The 68 model engine in the car now runs great and is very dependable. The 4 speed shifts good in the car but sometimes will grind a little going into reverse.I also rebuilt the shifter mechanism and it has acenter force clutch and pressureplate. Rear end is an 8 3/4 with sure-grip and 3:23 gears and runs down the road quietly. The rear end that is in the car is out of an E-Body because i used to have a set of big diameter wheels on it and couldn't get the backspacing needed so I changed the rear end.I have the original 8 3/4 and that goes with the sale. Also I will include pictures of the engine and transmission vin pads so you can see what i am talking about when I say lightly stamped.
Interior:Originally this car was a bench seat 4-speed car.I don't care for bench seats so I changed it to buckets and console with an original Hurst handle. The seats were redone in original style upholstery from LegendaryUpholstery. The front seats also have new seat foam in them and new headrests.Newdash pad from Just Dashes and also has new A pillar plastic carpet and headliner.I don't know if the stock AM radio works because I never put a speaker in it.Everything is there except the speaker including a new antenna. All the gauges work but I don't think the water temperature gauge is accurate all the time.I put an aftermarket one on that is not visible unless you look under the dash. There is a brand new 4 core radiator in the car and it runs very cool.
Suspension:All the front suspension was rebuilt with all new parts and cleaned and detailed.I also changed to 4 wheel disc with drilled and slotted rotors and added a rearswaybar. Originally was a manual steering car but now has power steering.Drives really nice
Wheels and Tires:Has 15 x 7 steel wheels painted to match the car with radial tires and stainless dog dish caps.I also have available AT ADDITIONAL COST(not included with sale) a set of 18 x 8" and 20 x 10" polished Eagle Alloy wheels with Yokahoma S-Drive tires that look new if you like the bigger wheels.I will try to include a picture with them on the car.
This is a very nice car that draws a big crowd everytime I pull into a cruise-in or a car show.I finished this car in October 2010 and it still looks as good as it did then. All the pictures were taken this week except for the one with aftermarket wheels. You are welcome to come inspect the car at my house before you bid. Thanks Mark 615-604-3556 no calls after 9pm CSTplease
