Dodge Coronet 1969 Description
I have here a car that I bought in 2009 and was purchased from the 2nd owner by me from southern oaklahoma and started life as a boring coronet44o with a 318/904/8 1/4 rear column shift bench seat grampa's car. I then, upon recept of this low milage dodge, proceeded to perform the attitude adjustment that you see here to day. I replaced the original drive train with a 68' super bee 383 magnum 4speed and DANA 60 with 354 gears power lock....completely rebuilt dana to stock specs original gears replaced bearings and seals....trans was also redone completely and motor was completely redone..runs impeccably well and is used as an everyday driver....under 10,000 on rebuild...motor has a lopey direct connection purple shaft and a nice performer RPM edelbrock intake, other wise, completely stock...fairly new dual exhaust system...newly rebuilt frontend manual drum brakes....power steering was replaced with a manual box....new mopar performance leaf springs accompany the dana rear..also has direct connection adjustable pinion snubber...the bench was removed and replaced with stock buckets totally redone new carpet, new head liner...back seat is mint and rest of interior is very nice. I pretty much did everything that I could in the way of making this plane jane what it is today...painted 5 years ago monocot red, I was going to vinyl top this car but I opted for a rare black paint option that came on R/T's this year. fiberglass 440 6 PACK hood was put on by me with all the hood pins and the ramcharger aircleaner...stock carb and all 4 speed conversion steps were done to stock specs including steering column auto delete. original radiator to car. never over heats... new battery new alternator...would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere....which I do regularly when weather permits...stored every winter in a garage and removed as soon as it is appropriate to drive...brand new radial tires, solid motor mounts so car shakes and squeaks a bit at idle...79k 0riginal miles...body is not perfect but all original panels and very little rust was found when repainted in 2010 floor pans were mint when carpet was replaced...the back window leaked down into the passenger quarter and a rust hole the size of a quarter was there but not big enough to replace a portion of the skin...trunck floor did not suffer enough to replace save a few pin holes..no big deal...it is sealed now and the wiper blade seals were also done by me...dog dish and 15in steel wheels are original to car. tank is clean and sealed new sending unit, fairly new shocks...brakes work fine and look to be fairly recently done. had to bleed the lines when the dana was installed so that is sinched up...new shifter and linkage and boot. new tach. the speedo dances around periodically and everything works as it should on the car...lights horn ECT...I installed fender signal indicators...I am sure I have left something out so feel free to contact me with any Qs 218 663 0056...the car is in northern Minnesota north of Duluth...I would drive it as far as the twin cities to deliver.....thanks for looking
