Dodge Other 1964 Description

This was my grandfathers car. He bought it in 1965 and was the 2nd owner. he drove it for 9 years and when the price of gas went up in 1974 he bought a compact car and parked the wagon in a barn where it sat until 4/7/15. 41 years. It has factory air. pushbutton automatic trans. . and power steering. and brakes. It was running when he parked it. It has. I believe a 273 v8. I don't think it is a 318. He was old school and believed firmly in only using original replacement parts. no aftermarket at all. This car is original from the front bumper to the rear. It has a few rust holes in the bottom of the rear pan where the rear wagon seats are and along the bottom of the tailgate. That is the only rust on the car. Underneath the car looks brand new. When I say it is unbelievable. it is no joke. it is unreal just how good of shape it is in. Even the original rubber water bag for the windshield washer is in excellent shape and holds water fine. This is a very rare car since they only made this body style a couple of years. As you can in the pictures the car is very dirty. but that is all it is. is dirt. It has one small scratch on the rear of the passengers front fender and a small dent on the drivers fender but other than that it is laser straight. All the stainless and chrome is in excellent shape. The grill doesn't even have a rock nick in it. it is the same as a polara. The pictures speak for themselves. If you like these type of cars. don't miss out on this one because you will never find another one. The motor is not locked but I never tried to get it running. I always intended on restoring this car myself but my health won't allow it. Someone is going to get a very cool car. The car is in N. Carolina. I am in Ct. . but I will be able to awnser questions about car. Johnny 860 710 2127 is my number. As I said. this car needs a full restoration but is a wonderful start. It has been brought to my attention that this car has a big block in it. I wasn't sure what it is.
