Dodge Charger 1968 Description

1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 4-Speed Car with the Dana 60. This is a true XS29 RT car. This has the original engine that came with the car. It does not have any VIN stamping on the motor like a lot of 68’s, so as far as I can tell it is original. The rear end is a 1968 Dana 60 with 4.10 gears. The transmission is out of a 1969 car. The motor runs perfect. It has been completely rebuilt.
Motor:
Bored .030 over
10.5 to 1 Speed Pro Forged Pistons and Rings
Clevite 77 Bearings
224-4 Comp. Cam with Lifters and Rods
All Felpro Gaskets
6-pack oil pan
High volume oil pump
750 Edelbrock carburetor
1968 HP Manifolds
High output distributor and coil
Alternator
Alternator Bracket
Power Steering Pump Bracket (Saginaw)
A brand new Aluminum radiator with dual elec. fans to keep her cool
It also has an 11” RT flywheel and clutch kit installed and that came with new bearings as well.
It also has power steering, with of course new hoses
The Dana 60 is tight and A+. The car is sitting on 20s in the rear and 18’s in the front. The size of the rear tires are 285?40R20, and the size of the front are 235/45/18. They are goodyear tires and they are not cheap. It has 4-wheel Power disc brakes, with new master cylinder and brake booster, in fact everything is new. Brand new upper and lower ball joints. New inner and outer tie rod ends. It has new Energy Suspension bushings, and bumpers. Has new front shocks and new rear air shocks. Almost everything on this car was red or black.
The Body has almost 7k of AMD metal on her. That is just the metal, not the labor of putting it on.
It has:
New quarters
floors from the firewall to the trunk ( all 4 pieces )
Inner and outer rockers
Rear valance
Front valance
Trunk extensions
Deck lid filler
Small braces, etc
Fender patches
Front cowl
Radiator Support
New Hood
Doors were solid
It was finished off in the a base/clear Mopar black, then wet sanded and buffed. This car has a lot of clear on her for future wet sanding and buffing if ever needed. The grille looks great and was repainted with brand new chrome trim. It was finished off with new grille moldings
The interior of the car was done in black. Most of it is new as you can tell from the pics. The dash looks great. I decided to not go with the console, but it can be added with ease if you desire.
Other new things:
Windshield
Check moldings
Wheel well moldings
Antenna
Inner and outer glass run channel weatherstrip
New trunk, door, and roof rail weatherstrip
Outer mirror
Door handles
Door locks
Red Butt Stripe
Front Bumper
Rear bumper
All Emblems
Tail Panel chrome
Exhaust with Correct Tips
Front and Rear Bumperettes
Parking Light Lens
Front and rear marker lights
etc, etc….
There is certainly many items that i will forget to mention as there were thousands and thousands spent on this car. It is a very rare car so it was worth putting the money into it.
