Dodge Charger 1968 Description

'68 Dodge Charger RT real RT 4 speed car not a clone. When I bought it about 11 years ago in California it did not have it's original engine or transmission. So I found a D 440 HP engine and rebuilt it with .040" over Speed Pro flat top forged pistons forged crank LY rods with ARP bolts balanced windage tray Mopar performance purple shaft hydraulic restoration cam kit 906 cylinder heads Holley Street Dominator intake manifold Holley 750 double pumper carburetor high performance exhaust manifolds full TTI 2.5" exhaust system new gas tank date correct 18 spline "Hemi" four spped tranny with 11" clutch Hurst shifter. It runs good and is driveable but has been in storage for the past few years. The Charger still has it's original untouched 3.54 ratio Dana 60 Track Pack rear axle. The body is vey straight the car was originally Burgandy and was repainted Dodge PP1 Red. The floor pan was patched a long time ago before full floor pans were available for these cars. New lower rear quarter panels trunk pan rear valance and deck filler panel were professionally installed when it was painted around 10 years ago. The grille is in good condition the vacuum for the headlight doors still needs to be hooked up. Most of the gauges are not working and the rallye gauge cluster still needs to be restored. It has the 150mph speedometer and Tic Toc Tac. The carpet is not the correct loop material. The headliner still needs to be done. The black bucket seats have been reupholstered and the door panels are new. I have a couple boxes of parts for the car including most of the weather stripping that still needs to be installed original carburetor intake manifold black bumble bee stripe kit and other misc. stuff. It has manual steering manual brakes 10.5" disc up front drum in the rear. Original VIN and fender tags are still in place and match up with the radiator support numbers. It has American Racing Torque Thrust wheels 15x7 all around. This car is a good restoration project that still needs to be finished. The paint has some knicks scrapes and touch ups. I brought the car out from California to Minnesota about 2 years ago and I have a clean MN title in my name. You are more than welcome to come see the car in person or send someone out to look at it . I'm located about 1 hour south of Minneapolis . This car is being sold in 'as is' condition as a project vehicle. It is not a show car and is not numbers matching.
