Dodge Charger 1969 Description

I have for sale my 1969 Dodge Charger SE that originally came with a rare combination of options which include the SE (Special Edition) trim package, a 383 High Performance big block motor, column shift automatic transmission, no air conditioning, and painted in the spring only F6 green paint. The 383 engine in the car now is not the numbers matching engine and the fender tag is missing. Though this is not a 1 of 1 type rare Charger, with this combination of options it would’ve indeed been a rare car. I very recently bought this car and was looking forward to tinkering with it and enjoying it this summer. However, as fate would have it a car I’ve been trying to buy for a very long time is now on the market and I’m going to have to let go of my brand new project in pursuit of a bigger fish in the Mopar pond. As described by the previous owner, this is a reliable car that has been driven as a daily driver in the not distant past. I’ve not put many miles on it as of yet, but the car starts well, drives well, stops well and has practically brand new tires on a good looking set of slotted mag wheels. I would classify this car as a ‘driver’ caliber car. It is a very solid car overall. The frame rails and floor pans as well as the back glass area appear to be very nice. There is some rust in the trunk but it isn’t very bad and is concentrated in the center of the trunk. This makes for a very easy patch which can be done from frame rail to frame rail. There are rust bubbles in the lower quarter panels on both sides that are small enough in scope and size that a patch panel will take care of the problem. From my inspection of the car, that appears to be the majority of the rust issues. A car with this minimal amount of rust will make for an easy restoration or just leave the car as it is and drive it and enjoy it. The paint on the car is fairly heavily oxidized and needs to be buffed out to regain a good gloss. The car comes exactly as it appears in the pics with exception of the Tic-Toc-Tac. I’ll be keeping that and replacing it with just a clock. Though this car is a good running and driving car that I wouldn’t be hesitant to drive anywhere, it is almost 50 years old. If you are considering buying this car and it’s your first classic, please understand that 50 year old cars do not drive like a modern car, they have the rattles, squeaks, leaks and personlity that 50 years on this Earth would give anything. I have included a link to a photobucket site below. At the photobucket site you will be able to view over 200 more pics of the car. I also have a link to a YouTube video that is 4 minutes long of me doing a walk around of the car as well as driving it. I have a clean and clear Oklahoma title for this car. Please, look at all the provided pics at the link below before bidding. The pics are very representative of the cars condition.

Please, ask all questions prior to bidding. Thank you.

There are an additional 200+ pics of the car at the following link:

PAYMENT INFORMATION
: The car is sold as is, no warranty implied or offered. The successful bidder is required to send a $1000 nonrefundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of auction via PayPal (other methods may be used if discussed and agreed upon prior to bidding!). If you are not able or willing to meet these criteria, please do not bid until you have discussed options with me. The balance of the auction is due in full within 7 days of the end of the auction. I prefer PayPal (for the deposit ONLY) and an electronic funds transfer for the balance. I will not accept PayPal for payment of the balance except under special circumstances that must be agreed on prior to bidding. I’ll accept other forms of payment such as certified bank check or cashier’s check for the balance, but all funds must clear my bank prior to release of the car. I would like the car picked up within 30 days of the end of the auction. The buyer is solely responsible for arranging the pickup of the car.

ZERO (0) FEEDBACK AND NON-U.S. BIDDERS: If you are a zero (0) feedback bidder or a non-U.S. bidder you MUST contact me before bidding. I will cancel the bid of any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder that does not contact me prior to bidding. I will require any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder to provide me with a verifiable physical address and contact information prior to bidding. I realize we were all zero feedback bidders at some point, but unfortunately zero feedback bidders are often also non-paying bidders on automobile auctions.

BIDDER CONFIDENCE: I strive for the most transparent auction possible. As a bidder, you can be confident that the vehicle you are bidding on is described to the best of my ability. I am always happy to provide any perspective bidder my contact information if they wish to speak directly with me on the telephone about the vehicle. If within driving distance, a perspective bidder is welcome to come see the car in person prior to bidding. I am happy and willing to take any reasonable actions (i.e. additional pictures, telephone conversation, in-person viewing of car prior to conclusion of the auction, etc.) to give the bidder confidence that the vehicle being auctioned is indeed in my possession, for sale, and has been described as accurately as I am able. I will conduct myself in a professional manner throughout the auction process and I will be a prompt communicator via email, telephone or text message.
