Dodge Charger 1966 Description

Up for action is my 1966 Dodge Charger. This Charger started out as a 318, but was upgraded to a 440. The Charger was originally from California, so the car is rust free. This is one of the cleanest Chargers I have ever seen. The underneath of this Charger is super clean. I see no signs of body panels been replaced or any accidents. The paint job is over 30 years old and still looks good from 20 feet away. When you get closer, you will notice some bubbles, chips, scratches and imperfections in the paint. Before the Charger was last painted in the 1980s, a 1967 Coronet R/T hood was put on. This hood bolts on with out any modifications, looks great and really sets this Charger apart from any other Chargers. The engine is a 1974 440 that has been professionally rebuilt by Louis Boyd Racing Engines. It has 292/509 Mopar Performace cam, adjustable roller rocker arms, and a forged crank. The engine is .040 over with 10-1 compression ratio, stock cast iron 88cc heads = out to 9.31 compression ratio that runs great on 91 octane pump gas. The engine Dyno at 424 Horse Power. The transmission is a 1970 Hemi Manual 18 spline 4 Speed. Has a new Ram clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. The rear end is a 8.75 with a Heavy Duty Nodular Case professionally rebuilt by Mancini Racing. Has a 3:55 Ratio. Has shorty Hedman street hedders with TTI exhaust system from hedders back, with Dynomax mufflers. New gas tank, sending unit and fuel lines. Upgraded to dual master cylinder. Has front disc brakes. Magnum 500 Ralley rims with newer tires. The black interior is in very good condition. The front bucket seats have been nicely recover at one time. The back bucket seat are still in good condition. The door panels are very nice as well. The original AM radio is still intact and works. The dash pad does have a crack in the middle. All gauges checked and rebuilt by The Gauge Doc, and work perfect. There are a few things on the Charger I noticed are not working. The headlights work fine, but they do not rotate back. I think one of the headlight rotating motors is bad. The heater switchdoesn'twork. The horndoesn'twork. This is a very quick and reliable Charger. It is fun to drive, and get attention every time I take it out. The only reason I am selling this Charger is because I do not have the time to take it out and enjoy it.
